The coach is the key to the development of sports and the improvement of competitive sports level.Foundation is not stable,the sustainable development of sports is bound to be limited.Now,the development of traditional volleyball coaches in schools is facing a severe test.How to improve the professional quality of coaches has become an important issue that we urgently need to study and solve.It is of great significance for the sustainable development of volleyball reserve talents in China to study the competency characteristics of traditional volleyball coaches,explore new ways and new ways of scientific human resources management,and realize the matching of "man-post".The following are several tasks of this study for the construction of the research institute on the competency characteristics of coaches in traditional volleyball schools of Fujian Province:First,through the method of literature and interview,this study summarizes the theory of relevant competence characteristics,interviews 10 outstanding volleyball coaches and 6 relevant experts from the perspective of competence characteristics,and preliminarily extracts the outstanding volleyball coaches’ competence characteristics of traditional volleyball schools.Secondly,the Delphi method is used to conduct three rounds of expert questionnaire survey on 15 experts,select the measurement topic of competency characteristics that can fully reflect the work characteristics of coaches in traditional volleyball schools,and initially establish the evaluation scale of competency characteristics of coaches in traditional volleyball schools in Fujian Province.Thirdly,this scale is used to conduct a questionnaire survey on the volleyball coaches of traditional volleyball schools in Fujian Province.SPSS26.0 and AMOS24.0were used to analyze the valid data of the samples.Finally,the competency evaluation scale of coaches in traditional volleyball schools in Fujian province is formed,and the competency model of coaches in traditional volleyball schools in Fujian Province is constructed and verified.Fourthly,the paper analyzes and discusses the competency model of coaches in traditional volleyball schools in Fujian province based on the text data from interviews with excellent coaches in the field research and the post characteristics of coaches in traditional volleyball schools.The conclusions are as follows: 1.The competency model of traditional volleyball coaches in Fujian province consists of 4 dimensions and 13 secondary indicators.The specific dimensions of cognitive ability include teaching philosophy,insight,analysis and summary,active learning awareness;Professional skills include making training plans and commanding on the spot;Management and coordination skills include communication,teamwork and authority;Personal characteristics include responsibility,attention to detail,innovation and achievement orientation.2.This study has preliminarily established the competency evaluation scale of the coaches of traditional volleyball schools in Fujian Province.It is found that all the parameters have reached a good level,which proves that the competency characteristic structure of traditional volleyball school coaches in Fujian province is ideal and the reliability and stability of the competency characteristic model,which can provide reference for evaluating the competency characteristics of traditional volleyball school coaches in Fujian Province.3.compared with other coaches’ competency models,the coaches’ competency models of traditional volleyball events in Fujian province have certain similarities,but there are certain differences in specific indicators,which are highly related to the project characteristics and the actual work characteristics of coaches.4.The competency model of traditional volleyball school coaches in Fujian province established in this study can provide theoretical reference for the further improvement of the coaching ability,comprehensive quality and performance of traditional volleyball school coaches,and help them improve the competency level of traditional volleyball school coaches.
