Wushu culture is an integral part of Chinese traditional culture,and has important historical,cultural and social significance to the formation and development of the Chinese nation’s ideology.In recentyears,withthecontinuousspreadof Chineseculture,martialartsculturehasincreasinglyattracted worldwide attention.At the same time,as China and Africa continue to strengthen cooperation in variousfields,Africanstudentsstudyingin Chinaarealsoincreasingyearbyyear.Africanstudentsarea special audience group for the international promotion of martial arts culture.Research on them will help improve African students’ awareness of Chinese martial arts culture and promote sports and culturalexchangesandinteractionsbetween Chinaand Africancountries.Theresearchadoptsthecombinationofquantitativeresearchandqualitativeresearch,andusesthe questionnaire measurement method to investigate the status quo of martial arts cultural identity of 152 African students from three universities in central Zhejiang,and obtains the influence of martial arts culture through interviews with 8 African students.material for identity factors.After statistical processing and analysis of the survey materials and interview materials,the following research results areobtained:(1)African students in the three universities in central Zhejiang have an upper-middle level of recognitionofmartialartsculture(theaveragevalueofrecognitionis3.565).Judgingfromtheaverage scoresofthethreedimensions ofculturalidentity(cognition,emotion,andbehavior),they areallatthe upper-middlelevel.Amongthem,cognitionisbetterthanemotion,andemotionisbetterthanbehavior(cognition3.73>emotion3.58>behavior3.48).(2)Fromtheperspectiveofdemographicvariables,there is no difference in the martial arts cultural identity of African international students in universities in central Zhejiang in terms ofschool,nationality and religious belief;,Marital status is different.(3)The resultsofqualitativeresearchbasedongrounded theoryshowthatthefactorsthataffectthemartialarts cultural identity of African students in universities in central Zhejiang include five core categories:intuitive experience of martial arts,media information,martial arts training environment,martial arts actionstructure,andmartialartsculturalactivities.The basic countermeasures to enhance the cultural identity of African students in martial arts include:(1)targeted teaching based on individual background variables;(2)Actively improve foreign students’ awarenessofmartialartsculture;(3)Strengthentheconstructionofpublicitywindowsandadd martial arts activities;(4)Reasonably formulating martial arts teaching standards for international students;(5)Strengthentheconstructionofmartialartsteachingfaculty.
