The power amplifier is one of the important components of the T/R component in the microwave communication system.The output power directly determines the transmitter communication quality,transmission distance and anti-interference ability.However,the solid-state power amplifier is limited by the current process,and the output power cannot meet the demand for use,which seriously restricts the development of the microwave transmitting system.Therefore,power synthesis is needed to improve the output capability of the transmitter.This paper first introduces four widely used power synthesis methods,chip-level power synthesis,circuit-level power synthesis,space power synthesis and hybrid power synthesis.The theory and main technical parameters of power synthesis are elaborated in detail.The second chapter explores and compares the technical characteristics of various power synthesis,and theoretically analyzes the characteristic index and synthesis efficiency of power amplifier,and gives the influencing factors of synthesis efficiency.In the third chapter,the theoretical analysis of the broadband Wilkinson power distribution-synthesis network is carried out,then the HFSS electromagnetic modeling and simulation is carried out,and the physical objects are produced and tested.The fourth chapter introduces the principle and advantages of space power synthesis technology,theoretically analyzes and simulates the broadband waveguide-microstrip fin transition form,and designs and processes a transition structure based on space power synthesis technology of tray waveguide.And amplify the circuit and test it to calculate its synthesis efficiency.The fifth chapter introduces the application of waveguide power synthesis in the missile-loaded millimeter-wave radar.The simulation of the millimeter-wave waveguide-microstrip probe transition structure is carried out,and then the millimeter-wave waveguide power synthesis amplifier is fabricated based on the transition structure.Test it and calculate its synthesis efficiency.Finally,the work done in this paper is summarized,and the power synthesis of higher frequency bands is prospected,and the next research direction is clarified.
