Abstract/Summary:
Along with the stimulation of the national triple-play policy and the rapid development of Internet services,the capacity and types of network terminal equipment have increased dramatically.With such an amount of Customer Premise Equipment(CPE),how to conduct reliable and effective remote management has been a closely watched concern for many large operators.Since the Simple Network Management Protocol(SNMP)has limitations and does not meet the market demands well,the TR069 protocol has emerged as a network management protocol to replace SNMP.The TR069 protocol,known as CPE WAN Management Protocol(CWMP),is a communication protocol for remote control of subscriber terminal equipment,which supports operators to manage CPE through an auto-configuration server remotely.At the same time,the TR069 protocol is widely applicable,which could save operators’ labor,operation,and maintenance costs for terminal management,and enable operators to realize the zero-touch service configuration.With the full rollout of 5G network construction in recent years,there are more and more application scenarios around 5G CPE.Meanwhile,many problems and technical requirements appear in the applications.For example,the ACS cannot manage CPE instantly when they are not connected directly through the network.There are increasing demands on remotely monitoring the real-time status of equipment,creating and deleting new instances of multi-instance objects,etc.This thesis studies the TR069 protocol and its implementation to solve these problems and meet the technical requirements.The main work accomplished and the progresses made in this thesis are summarized as follows.1.Analyzed the current status of domestic and international research on this topic,explored the development trend of the TR069 protocol,the technical requirements,and problems encountered in the practical applications of 5G CPE,and clarified the goal and significance of this effort.2.Designed and implemented a data customization reporting method to solve the problem that the current CPE data model occupies too much resource in the ACS server system.After the test verification in a practical project,the effectiveness of the design is confirmed in providing operators with more equipment-side data operation authority and reducing the resource occupation of the ACS server.3.Investigated the requirements for matching the configurations in the interaction process of the equipment designed and implemented an adaptive configuration method to deal with the high operation and maintenance costs caused by configuration mismatch in connecting different ACS servers between some domestic operators.The test results in a practical project have verified that our design can reduce operation and maintenance costs and realize the management of CPE effectively.4.Proposed an approach for implementing a long-distance connection so that the remote CPE can receive commands from ACS immediately,which solved the problem that the ACS cannot manage CPE instantly when they are not connected directly through the network.The test results in a practical project have verified that our proposed approach can further enhance the ability of ACS to manage remote CPE in real time.5.Implemented the diagnostic methods for "IP Ping," "Traceroute," "Download," and "Upload" functions to meet the technical requirement of "remote diagnosis of device status." The test results for the functional verification show that it can remotely detect the status and failures of the device network.
