With the development of network,optical fiber has been fully used in the backbone network.In the existing old community,the last 100 meters of optical fiber into the house has the problem of complex lines,which is very easy to lead to light attenuation and then reduce the communication quality.Therefore,it is necessary to design a specific access system to replace the optical fiber.The HINIOC access system is designed to solve this problem and provide high-quality broadband access service for users.The third generation HINOC access system is under development,and its network rate can reach 10 Gigabit and the delay is only1 ms,which can effectively meet the needs of users for high network rate and low delay,so it has strong practicability.Therefore,the research work of HINOC access system is of great significance.In order to verify the feasibility of MAC protocol,the protocol needs to be simulated during the development of HINOC access system.The existing network simulation software has complex structure,redundant functions and cumbersome operation,which is difficult to meet the requirements of protocol simulation.Therefore,it is important to develop special simulation software for the simulation of MAC protocol of HINOC access system.The article investigates the research status of network simulation technology and the characteristics of existing simulation software in detail.Based on the profound understanding of the working mechanism of HIONC access system and its MAC protocol,it analyzes the requirements of simulation software,designs and implements a portable and efficient MAC protocol simulation software of HINOC access system.Firstly,it introduces the working mechanism and composition of HINOC access system,and focuses on the MAC protocol.Secondly,it analyzes the design requirements of the simulation software from three aspects: architecture,function and nonfunction.Thirdly,the principle of the discrete event simulation is introduced,and then the overall architecture of the software is obtained.Besides,it implements each module of the simulation software,focusing on the design ideas,design schemes and functions of each module.Moreover,the software is used to simulate the MAC protocol of HINOC access system,which has important guiding significance for protocol design.Finally,the property,overall function and module function of the network simulation software are tested in this paper.From the test results,we can conclude that the functions of the MAC protocol simulation software of HINOC access system fit the hypothesis,and can complete the MAC protocol simulation perfectly,which provides a strong support for the research and development of MAC protocol of HINOC access system.
