Media is a reflection of a country’ s social system and culture,which reflects the most basic political and social structure of a country.For the international events,all countries will reflect their own cultural value and ideology in the media report,which will be reflected in the form and content of the report.News content about COVID-19,views on addressing specific issues,and ways or tendency to consume COVID-19 events may vary depending on the idea.Therefore,through this paper,I want to understand the main topics of Chinese and Korean mainstream media on the early days of the COVID-19 outbreak,what differences or common points in the form and content of the report,and what cultural value and ideology are reflected behind these differences or commonalities.Therefore,it is planned to sample the initial reports of People’s Daily and Chosun Daily in COVID-19,establish a corpus and conduct high-frequency word analysis with the help of the discourse analysis software NVivoll.Guided by fair cliff discourse analysis theory and framework,with text analysis method,to study the mainstream media trying to use what discourse strategy construction and guide the public national identity,hope to find different "country" and "social expression",to judge the two language differences and thinking differences in reading,summarizes the general rule,according to this rule can better external publicity,to promote the friendly exchanges between the two countries,help us to better understand the Korean propaganda,targeted to do foreign propaganda work.
