With the arrival of the fifth information technology revolution,computer technology has developed rapidly,greatly enhancing the level of social productivity,and the software industry has thus gained unprecedented opportunities for development.With the guidance of national policies,the software industry has become an important force in promoting the steady and healthy development of China’s economy.China’s software industry has a short development time compared to other developed countries,and the general management standard of the industry is low.In recent years,software products have become increasingly complex and differentiated,and conflicts are likely to arise in software development projects,affecting work efficiency and the achievement of project goals.It is worth exploring how software companies can improve conflict management and enhance the competitiveness of the software industry.The thesis firstly summarised the theories related to conflict management and process management,and introduces the characteristics of the project team and the current situation of conflict management by taking the software development project of Company S as a case study,and analyses the conflict issues in detail from the team organization structure and project phases.A questionnaire was designed in conjunction with the conflict-related influencing factors,and a questionnaire survey was conducted on the team members of the software development project of Company S.The SPSS factor analysis was conducted on the conflictrelated influencing factors of the team,and five main factors affecting the team conflict were derived.The questionnaire was combined with the four stages of the software development life cycle to investigate the conflict intensity of the five factors,and the mean value of the conflict intensity of different factors at different stages was processed to arrive at the overall level of conflict at each stage,as well as the main conflict factors affecting the software development project team of Company S at each stage.Based on the idea of process management and project management,a conflict management strategy was developed by sorting out the process and constructing a project process system.Conflict management strategies are given in terms of team member and organizational structure conflict management strategies and project life cycle conflict management strategies respectively.The aim is to control the incidence of conflict and mitigate the level of conflict impact in order to improve the efficiency of software companies and the likelihood of project success.The resulting conflict management strategies are useful for software development companies and can provide case studies to support the software industry in resolving related conflict issues.The main findings of the thesis are as follows.(1)The main conflict elements that affect conflict in software development projects in company S are derived.(2)The degree of influence of different conflict elements on software development projects in Company S was derived.(3)The corresponding conflict management strategies are given based on the idea of process management.
