| Images are increasingly popularized by means of communication tools,and the 21 st century seems to be the era of image communication.This article examines images in the field of international communication,rooted in the historical grasp of my country’s international discourse power and influence expansion,and analyzes and studies the COVID-19 epidemic in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic,a major public health emergency.News images in international coverage.Specifically,the news images in CGTN and CNN’s report on the new crown pneumonia epidemic were selected as the research objects,and the visual grammar created by Kress G.and Van Leeuwen with reproduction,interaction and composition as the core content was used as the research object.The theory analyzes the meaning of its images,supplemented by the image emotion classification system created by Jana Machajdik and Allan Hanbury for emotion recognition,explores the relationship between the visual grammar of images and emotional expression,and starts from the problem,trying to show the thousands of images and epidemic reports.The inextricable relationship and the ideological background behind it.It is hoped that it will be a reference for the media to report public health emergencies in the future. |
