| Phased array antenna is a research hotspot in the field of wireless communication,and the broadband wide-angle multi-polarization phased array antenna can better meet the increasing requirements in various applications such as communication and radar.However,the system suffered from the problems such as complex structure,high cost and large size.The combination with metamaterial and the phased-array antenna system is proposed to realize beam scanning with low-cost,which has received more and more attentions from researchers.The pattern synthesis for large array based on the meta-atoms and digital phase shifters are studied first,and then a dual-polarized two-dimensional wide-angle scanning low-cost antenna array is designed.The main contents are summarized as follows:1.An efficient triangular grid array pattern synthesis method is investigated.The Dorf-Chebyshev array synthesis method and the Taylor synthesis method are studied,which can be used to suppress the side lobe level of the antenna.The fast Fourier transform synthesis method for pattern approximation is introduced in detail.The active element pattern of reconfigurable antenna is futher analyzed.The accuracy of the synthesis method is verified by a 10×10 triangular antenna array composed of 3-bit reconfigurable antenna,and a generalization method applicable to other planar grid arrays is given.2.Alow-cost planar phase shifter and a high performance MMIC-based phase shifter are designed respectively.A 90° phase shifter with surface-mounted PIN-diodes and a 0°/45°/90°/135° tunable phase shifter with surface-mounted varactors are designed based on the low-cost PCB process.The measured results show that they can achieve phase shifting with transmission loss within 3dB and phase shift error within 7° from 11GHz to 13GHz.Based on the 0.25um GaAs process,a 90° reflection phase shifter,45° reflection phase shifter and 22.5° T-bridge phase shifter are designed respectively.The schematic simulation and layout simulation of the above three phase shifters are carried out to verify that all three phase shifters can achieve stable phase shift within 6-18 GHz with low VSWR and low insertion loss.3.A low-cost dual-polarized 3-bit reconfigurable antenna array are proposed.The 1-bit ultra-wideband Vivaldi reconfigurable antenna is designed inspired by the digital meta-surface design philosophy,and its E-plane ±60° beam scanning performance is verified by using a line array.On this basis,a dual-polarized 3-bit reconfigurable antenna array is further developed by integrating a phase shifter.The gain fluctuation is within 4dB from the measured results.It can achieve a low-cost scanning range of ±50° in E and H planes for dual polarizations. |
