Traveling is one of the easiest leisure options for people,and how to plan a comfortable travel itinerary has attracted much attention.Most of the existing travel itinerary recommendation methods only focus on how to provide recommendations in a deterministic environment,while ignoring the impact of the randomness of traffic time on travel itinerary planning in real situations.The author aims to study how to recommend travel itineraries by considering the cost and benefit of travel itineraries and the satisfaction of tourists under stochastic traffic time,so as to help tour operators achieve operational optimization.The main contributions of the work are as follows:1)The key factors affecting tourists’ satisfaction are deeply analyzed,and a specific description of the optimization problem of travel itinerary considering the operation optimization of tour operators under stochastic traffic time is given.2)Based on the perspective of tour operators,a two-stage travel itinerary recommendation optimization model considering stochastic traffic time(TS-TIRSTT)is established.In the first stage,with the goal of maximizing the popularity utility,the decision of attractions selection is given.In the second stage,the total time limit of travel itinerary and the profit limit of tour operator are comprehensively considered under stochastic traffic time,and the travel route is planned with the goal of maximizing the activity utility of tourists.Then,based on the sample average approximation method,the model is transformed and solved.3)Numerical experiments are designed to analyze the performance of the TS-TIRSTT model from three aspects: reliability level,tourists’ utility and tour operator’s profit,which proves the practicability of the model.4)A case study is conducted based on real tourism data.The results show that,compared with the initial model,the TS-TIRSTT model can guarantee a higher reliability level.And we can optimize the travel itinerary recommendation scheme by adjusting the equalization coefficient to increase tourists’ utility and tour operators’ profit.
