With the development of edge computing and container scheduling technology,con-tainerization and microservice technology are introduced into edge computing scenarios.Due to the weak edge nodes,it is usually necessary to migrate the workload from the edge to the cloud for collaborative computing.However,this cloud-edge collaboration method cannot fundamentally solve the problem of increased network latency brought by cloud computing centers.For latency-sensitive edge applications,the application can be deployed and run on multiple edge nodes through cross-edge node deployment to provide collaborative services.This thesis focuses on the research of the edge container network based on the intranet penetration and the scheduling of edge services in the edge network environment.A cross-edge collaborative subsystem based on intranet penetration is designed and implemented on the Kubernetes container orchestration platform.The main work and innovation are as follows:1.A Kubernetes container orchestration platform-based edge container network plugin is designed and implemented to organize,connect,and manage container networks on different nodes in the cluster.The functions include IP allocation and recov-ery of container networks,management of virtual network devices on nodes,and management of supporting routing rules.2.For edge nodes in different regions and intranet environments,a virtual network solution that traverses NAT is designed and implemented to solve the network con-nectivity problem between different edge nodes in a complex network environment through UDP punching technology and virtual network interface technology.3.A spectral clustering algorithm-based edge service scheduling optimization method is designed and implemented,which uses the pre-measured network latency infor-mation between edge nodes to explore the network topology.Edge services can be scheduled to edge node groups with lower latency to users as much as possible to improve the performance of the entire edge network.In summary,the cross-edge collaborative subsystem proposed in this thesis alleviates the problem that the cost,computing power,and latency of edge computing and cloud computing cannot be balanced.It provides new ideas and solutions for the cross-edge collaboration field based on container orchestration systems.After experimentation and testing,this system can well complete the above functions in edge network scenarios.
