With the rapid development of radar testing technology, software development for baseband signal processing modules has become increasingly complex.Choosing the appropriate development platform has also become a key issue in software design, taking into account factors such as user-friendliness and system functionality diversity. This study aims to design software for a baseband signal transceiver module system to meet the requirements of radar target simulation testing. To this end,a co-development pattern using a host computer and a local application platform was adopted. An embedded Linux system was built locally on the Zynq Ultra Scale+ RFSo C platform, and application programs and corresponding drivers were designed. At the same time,Lab Windows/CVI virtual instrument development platform was used to design host computer software on the remote control side. The main work of this paper is as follows:1.An embedded Linux system was ported on the Zynq chip to propose a porting method to optimize the construction of the startup image component and reduce the time for porting work.Specifically,we conducted an in-depth analysis of the Zynq chip’s startup process in the Linux system, and combined with source code compilation and Petalinux porting methods to design a more flexible porting method.Based on considering the practical usage scenarios of the baseband signal transceiver module,an AXI4-Lite driver program was developed with the aim of fulfilling communication requirements through a combination of software and hardware cooperation.2.An application program based on the Zynq control platform was designed, divided into multiple functional modules according to the software requirements of the baseband signal transceiver module. It is mainly divided into initialization module, communication module, instruction parsing module, and application function module, and designed based on each module.3.Two different versions of upper computer software based on Lab Windows/CVI have been designed to meet the different needs of developers and users. These two versions of host computer software have implemented the program-controlled receiving and transmitting module based on different control flows.Their main purpose is to enable developers and users to perform tests according to different needs. After completing the aforementioned content design, software functional testing of the baseband signal transceiver module was initiated.First, the hardware platform was powered on,and the startup output of the serial port was analyzed to verify the effect of system transplantation.Subsequently, the performance of the system software was tested, and the functional testing of the baseband signal transceiver module was ultimately completed.Through the aforementioned work, the interconnection between the main control platform of the baseband signal transceiver module and the upper computer software was successfully achieved.Currently, the entire baseband signal transceiver module software has been applied on a scientific research testing platform and has performed well.
