With the rapid development of economy,various countries gradually shift the focus of resource to underwater resource detection.Therefore,the research on underwater imaging and underwater image clarity technology is of great significance.The existing intensity camera images can not obtain accurate target information,which can not meet the needs of researchers.Compared with visible light imaging,polarization imaging can suppress the influence of backscattering,and can obtain multi-dimensional information.Therefore,this paper proposes two methods based on polarization characteristics,and integrates part of the traditional algorithm and the two algorithms in this paper to meet the application of water degradation image clarity for researchers in related fields.The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly,based on the theory of polarization physical optics,the basic characteristics of polarized light and the measurement method of polarized light are explored.Combined with Stokes vector,the mathematical model is used to intuitively describe the polarization information.In order to eliminate the influence of underwater high polarization detection target,this paper expounds the influence mechanism of angle and metal objects on light reflection,scattering characteristics caused by underwater suspended particles and depolarization characteristics of under water,so as to provide a theoretical basis for subsequent underwater polarization clarification methods.Secondly,the existing underwater clarification methods need to manually select the region estimation parameters,and the restoration results are not ideal due to the interference of highlight points.In this paper,through the construction of underwater turbid environment,using linearly polarized light as the active light source,the underwater polarization clarity model is analyzed and reconstructed,and the underwater background polarization degree information and the underwater infinite background light value are automatically estimated,so as to realize the automatic clarification of underwater turbid targets.Because the underwater active light source is prone to produce non-uniform light field,it is difficult to restore the whole image by selecting some regions to estimate the polarization parameters.In order to solve this problem,this paper analyzes the transmittance information,optimizes and reconstructs the whole image parameters of the important parameter background light image and the infinite background light image,and realizes the clarity processing in the case of non-uniform light field.Finally,combined with the traditional algorithm and the two kinds of clarity algorithm proposed in this paper,we use the GUI function of MATLAB to write the underwater image clarity software,in order to meet the needs of relevant researchers for different detection objects image restoration.
