With the popularization and development of smart phones,various new Apps come out one after another.Many functions of App facilitate people’s use and bring great convenience to people’s lives.However,users have become tired of the homogenization of existing App interfaces due to the lack in creativity of the mainline functional products in App market.Therefore,how to strengthen the competitiveness of their products in the converging App interface design and cultivate user stickiness and sustainable interesting experience has become an urgent problem for major Internet App manufacturers.This study took interface design as the research object,systematically analyzed the similarities of gamification and App interface design and the connections between games and user behavior by adapting revelant gamification theories,and tried to integrate the concept of gamification into App interface design to bring whole new experience to users.Firstly,residents’ garbage classification needs,App using habits,and their preference for game elements were learned through questionnaire surveys.Secondly,the areas where gamification scenarios are widely used were analyzed through the Cite Space scientific measurement tool.Thirdly,the specific ideas for gamification design of App interface were summed up from the creative three-level analysis of gamification design concept,structure,and content.Finally,four concrete gamification design methods were concluded through combining the DMC theory and the user’s particular needs,and were then practically used in App interface design,i.e the gamification design of “Hope Island”,an App aiming to help people develop waste sorting habits.The research argues that the combination of game rules,concrete game elements and people’s needs for using App is an effective way to prevent boredom for homogeneous interface,so as to achieve the goal of raising people’s behavioral interest and experience awareness by the mean of gamification design.Besides,the creative gamification design of App interface enables people to better cultivate their behavioral awareness and interest in action.In addition,the integration of gamification theories,methods,and the lifestyle of behavioral experience can better expand the applicable range of App gamification design,which has great practical reference value.
