| The robustness of the existing traditional photoelectric detection technology is susceptible to deterioration under increasing complex conditions of camouflage,concealment,and infrared interference.Polarization imaging technology can effectively improve target detection in complex backgrounds by using polarization characteristics that are not easily disturbed by the external environment.Among the imaging in different wavelength bands,visible images have high resolution and good visual effects;while infrared images have good adaptability to changes in weather,lighting and other conditions.This paper analyzed the implementation principle of real-time polarization imaging technology,focused on the hardware implementation of real-time polarization imaging technology,and then conducted the experimental research of UAV target tracking based on polarization imaging to verify the feasibility of polarization imaging for the target tracking,and gave polarization imaging detection strategies in several typical backgrounds.Focusing on the requirement of real-time imaging technology for target tracking,this paper investigated the division of focal plane technique based on micro-polarization array and the optical field technique based on micro-lens array.Based on these two technologies,we fabricated two visible and one long-wave infrared real-time polarization cameras,completed their fine calibration,and then evaluated the effect of polarization imaging using quantitative indexes.The experimental results showed that the image of polarization degree was beneficial to improve the contrast between the target and the background,and the image of polarization angle could better show the changes in image details.Using the real-time polarization cameras,this paper conducts polarization imaging target tracking experiments in backgrounds such as cloudy skies,buildings,and jungles.The experimental results showed that the image of polarization angle was easy to fail in complex backgrounds,but the image of polarization degree could help to improve the success rate and tracking speed of target tracking,which made the performance of the target tracking system improved. |
