Design And Implementation Of The ATM Line Card In The Hybrid Switch

With the development of the communication network system,hybrid switching technology will be the new development direction of the future network and new multimedia exchange system,the feature of the hybrid switching is that it supports telephone traffic,ATM traffic and IP traffic.Based on the research project“Design and Implement of Hybrid Switches",the project takes a new technology that uses the main structure of three-stage CLOS switching fabric in MSM mode,it supports packet switching and circuit switching.The scheme has flexible network and scalability features,it is entirely competent to technical requirements needs for the project.Firstly,the background of the communication network system and a brief analysis of ATM communication technology are given in this dissertation.With the analysis of the demand for ATM line card,the design of the ATM line card of the hybrid switch is given.The overall structure of ATM line card is especially presented.The function of the modules is introduced.The feasibility of the project is discussed.The implement and timing simulation of some key modules,such as UTOPIA Interface and queue module,is particularly provided in this dissertation.
