A Simulation Implementation Scheme For The Teleport And Its Prototype Implementation Of The IPv6 Packet Forwarding

With the continuous development of communication technology,more and more users require the provision of network services anytime and anywhere.The satellite mobile communication systems that meet the above requirements have been widely used in the foreign military and civilian fields.A converged satellite and terrestrial broadband communication network has the complementary advantages of satellite networks and terrestrial networks.Therefore,it achieves the larger coverage.A teleport is a bridge that interconnects satellite networks and terrestrial networks together,so the study in this dissertation has some application sense.Based on the project named Test and Simulation of the next generation converged satellite and terrestrial broadband communication networks,this dissertation introduces the network processors and their hardware platforms,and then summarizes IPv6 protocol.The emphasis is put on the evolved packet core(EPC)network architecture and the simulation functionality of the teleport.According to the whole implementation scheme of the teleport to be studied,the implementation scheme of the teleport hardware platform is proposed.This dissertation makes a detailed analysis of the forwarding process of IPv6 packets and completes the prototype implementation of IPv6 packet forwarding module of the teleport.The functions of the prototype implemented include the input of IPv6 packets,processing of the basic header,processing of the routing extension header,forwarding and output of IPv6 packets.Finally,a test environment is set up,and the software debugging has been completed with the simulation tools of SENDIP and WIRESHARK.The results verify the functionality correctness of the IPv6 packet forwarding module.
