With the continuous development of information technology in recent decades,people’s demand for communication capacity and communication rate is growing rapidly.The development and research of millimeter wave band with large bandwidth and high rate is the hot direction of 5g communication,and also the foundation of the realization of interconnection of everything in the future.In the long-distance wireless communication,planar microstrip reflective array antenna,which has the advantages of high directivity and high gain of reflector antenna,low profile and low processing cost of phased array antenna,has become a research hotspot in recent years.In recent years,there are many academic researches on the design of element structure in the reflection array antenna,but there are still some shortcomings in the design of broadband reflection array antenna;Firstly,it is difficult to achieve broadband coverage based on the polygon and its improved structure reflector design,Secondly,on the basis of rotationally symmetric reflective element,the element structure based on broadband design is complex and the broadband coverage is limited.In response to the above problems,this article combines the innovative results of the unit structure and the classical electromagnetic theory,and comprehensively optimizes the antenna system design:(1)Using an independent single-opening ring as a sub-unit,through multi-level spatial coordination and rotation Later,three broadband units of spliced S-type,spliced S-type,and overlapped type were designed,and the design and optimization ideas of this type of unit were summarized;(2)A group of open rings with fixed recursive characteristics with complementary bandwidth characteristics were taken as Sub-unit,innovatively designed a series of nested asymmetric broadband unit structure,which simplifies the unit structure while increasing the bandwidth of the unit;(3)Based on the open regular polygon with recursive characteristics,a series of nested asymmetrical units are designed Broadband unit structure,preliminary discussion and confirmed that the recursive nature of the open loop to form a nested wideband unit has generalization.The wideband circularly polarized reflection array based on the improved open ring structure proposed in this paper has considerable array gain and excellent bandwidth range,which can be widely used in 5g ground base station and other scenes.Its multi loop nesting and phase shift control can be extended to other frequency bands to provide reference for possible phase similar design in the future and guarantee multi application compatibility;Therefore,this paper has both academic value and practical value,and its application prospect is very broad.
