Research On Reading Promotion Of Nanjing Private Library Under The Background Of National Reading

For individuals,reading can broaden their horizons and improve their ability;For society,it is conducive to create a good social environment and improve national literacy.Therefore,it is very necessary to promote universal reading.China has a vast territory and a large population.It is difficult to meet the growing spiritual and cultural needs of the people only by relying on the public cultural services provided by the government.Therefore,the national reading needs the joint participation of the whole society.We should rely on and rely on social forces.As a main form of social forces participating in public cultural services,private libraries play an important role in promoting local reading and creating a cultural atmosphere.We need to think about how to make the private library play a greater value in the national reading promotion,how to further expand its influence and let more people participate.Since the nationwide reading campaign was launched,Nanjing municipal government has actively responded to the call and issued relevant policies to encourage social forces to participate in reading.Nanjing private libraries have also taken this opportunity to continue to innovate and develop,contributing to the construction of "scholarly Nanjing".Therefore,this paper takes the reading promotion of Nanjing private library as the research object,first combs the development status of Nanjing Library from the aspects of quantity,type,source of funds,personnel and equipment,then summarizes the types,quantity and publicity methods of reading promotion activities of Nanjing private library,and analyzes the reasons for reading promotion of Nanjing private library from the perspective of its own factors and external conditions,This paper summarizes the role of reading promotion activities of Nanjing private Library in improving reading environment and promoting children’s reading.Secondly,through the analysis of the reading promotion activities carried out by the three private libraries,namely,the South study on the second floor,the Moyang bookworm library and the Xiao library,this paper combs the operation mode and service characteristics of the reading promotion of Nanjing private libraries.Through the comparison with the reading promotion activities of public libraries,combined with the results of interviews with staff,this paper obtains its advantages and disadvantages,and summarizes the traditional forms of the reading promotion activities of Nanjing private libraries,Lack of resources,lack of sustainability,poor publicity effect and low reader participation.Finally,in view of these problems,this paper puts forward corresponding development strategies from four aspects:government guidance and support,strengthening self-management,multi-party cooperation and innovative service mode.The research on the reading promotion activities of Nanjing Private library not only greatly improves the service quality and service level of Nanjing Private library and promotes its sustainable development,but also plays an important role in promoting the reading of the whole people in Nanjing and building a "scholarly Nanjing".
