A Study On The Interactive Discourse Of TV Hosts From The Perspective Of Linguistic Adaptation Theory

The interactive discourse of TV program hosts is the main carrier of program information.TV program hosts transmit information in the form of discourse,and construct interactive discourse through narration,dialogue and so on.In different programs,the content and structure of interactive discourse are not unified.This is because TV program hosts are always influenced by the context in their language expression,and are driven by different purposes to adapt to the changes of the specific context,so that their language expression presents different characteristics,and finally constitute different interactive discourse.Based on Verschueren’s language adaptation theory,this thesis analyzes Shu Dong’s interactive discourse in TV programs,discusses the reasons and manifestations affecting the host’s language choice,and discusses the adaptability of the host’s interactive discourse,Summarize the characteristics of the host’s interactive discourse and give specific strategies in order to improve the effectiveness of the host’s language expression and enhance the communication effect of the program.In addition,this thesis will also construct a new model of interactive discourse research of TV program hosts.This thesis is divided into five parts: the introduction mainly introduces the purpose and significance of this topic,research status,theoretical basis and so on;The first chapter mainly explains the concepts of TV program hosts,interactive activities and interactive discourse,explains the position of adaptation in the construction of TV program host interactive discourse,and briefly introduces the two programs of the corpus used;The second chapter analyzes the host’s pragmatic identity in the program interactive discourse from the perspective of language users in the interactive discourse,explains the reasons and manifestations of pragmatic identity through comparison,and further explains the influence of context on the host’s language use;The third chapter,based on the context in Verschueren ’s language adaptation theory,analyzes and explains that TV program hosts adapt to the contextual elements of communication object,mental world,social world and physical world in the process of language selection and understanding;The fourth chapter focuses on the language structure,analyzes Shu Dong’s adaptation to the elements of pronunciation,vocabulary and grammar in language expression and construction.In addition,this thesis analyzes the host’s adaptation to different program discourse types;The fifth chapter summarizes and analyzes the pragmatic characteristics of TV program hosts’ interactive discourse from the perspective of mass communication and interpersonal communication,and lists the pragmatic strategies at different levels that TV program hosts can use in language expression.Based on the theory of language adaptation,this thesis studies the language expression and choice of the host in the program interactive discourse.The innovation of this thesis is that it introduces the perspective of language adaptation theory into the study of interactive discourse of TV programs,and also provides strategic and theoretical guidance for TV program hosts to choose and express language in interactive discourse of TV programs.
