The Comparative Research Of Quantitative Stylistics Based On Corpus Of Native Novel Of Mo Yan And Jia Pingwa

Language style is the characteristic of the language system itself and the characteristics of language use in a variety of integrated performance,literary works is a field of language use,although only a part of in the field of language use,but it occupies very important position.Literature is the art of language,literary language is the medium of literature and tools,is an important part in literary works.Used by different writers in the literary creation,will be different,such as vocabulary,sentence and rhetoric and the different form their unique language style.Domestic the study of language style has a long history of writers and their works,most of the research only stays in the level of qualitative analysis,the results of the study and the researcher’s own experience as well as the quality of literature,linguistics,lack of objectivity.Measurement of styles based on the mathematical statistics discipline attribute is a good way to make this up.Mo Yan and Jia Pingwa is very important in China’s literary world,their works nature have been a lot of attention,academic circles have many from the Angle of narrative,structure,ideas and works of two writers analysis research.Similar,the birth of the two writers s creation starting point the same theme,writing similar,there are a lot of similarities,contrast study of nature also many,these studies mainly from the perspective of literary theory,although have a small amount of research from the Angle of linguistics and comparison between the two writers work but they are still stay at the qualitative level,the two writers works by means of the quantitative study comparing language style also is less.In this study,on the basis of corpus,using the statistical method and the method of quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis,the language style of the two writers’ works were analyzed.The main research process and the results are as follows:Research of this paper is divided into three aspects,first,establish a corpus,the works of two writers who were the two writers writing similar theme,text 12 films of similar size(6)each,according to the writer classification,set up two corpora,Mo Yan works corpus and Jia Pingwa corpus,each corpus of about 1.5 million words.Second,the use of statistics from the characters,vocabulary,sentence,paragraph,such as different levels of linguistic features,choose the difference significance of language characteristics,and characteristics of these language styles.Third,combined with the text,the calculated from different linguistic features of the numerical analysis shows that Mo Yan,Jia Pingwa works of two writers differences on language style.The results show that two writers differ in different levels.Found in the character level,Jia Pingwa novels tend to question mark and exclamation mark,Mo Yan novels are more used to a laparoscope,usually connected to a ellipsis.In the lexical level,it is concluded that Mo Yan’s novels of character and things more detailed description,narrative Angle of view more diversified,color and rich emotion.Jia Pingwa novels have a lot of dialogue,more detailed description of actions,dialect use frequency is high,the plain language,more colloquial.At the sentence level,is the fragmentation of sentence and other kinds of differences,in terms of sentence fragmentation,it is concluded that Mo Yan’s novel language written is stronger,Jia Pingwa novel language oral is stronger;Other classes,Jia Pingwa’s novel questions and exclamatory sentences are more than Mo Yan,confirms the tone of Jia Pingwa novel language,emotions are more abundant.In the paragraph level,the average length of paragraphs in Jia Pingwa novels significantly longer than Mo Yan,it is concluded that Jia Pingwa novels more obscure,and Mo Yan novels is easier to read.In conclusion,this article adopts the method of measuring styles,the Mo Yan and Jia Pingwa,comparative analysis,the works of two writers found their differences between linguistic features in different levels,not only for part of the existing qualitative conclusions are verified,providing the support data,also found some new research results,and to use the quantitative statistics and qualitative analysis method of combining the writers research works made certain contribution to the research paradigm.
