A Case Study Of Chinese Museum Theatre

From the perspective of applied theatre theory and practice,this paper tries to find rules from the "spontaneous" practice of Chinese museum theatre,which has a relatively large number of dramas,a small scale of individual dramas and uneven artistic quality.Seven representative works are selected from more than 30 museum theatre cases in China.According to the differences of core drama elements,this paper divides the seven works into three categories: the main purpose is to activate the display of museum exhibits based on objects;Around the event,the specific history of the realistic writing;Around space,explore the different spatial relations between exhibition hall and theater.For different types of museum plays,this paper analyzes the creation gains and losses of specific works with appropriate conventions of applied theatre.Finally,from the perspective of application,it is pointed out that museums,drama groups,government departments,companies and other institutions lead the cross-border cooperation of museum theatre,which tends to give priority to application and artistry.The integration of various art forms and scientific and technological means makes the creation of Chinese museums theatre in the ascendant present new features.
