Research On The Evolution Process And Improvement Path Of China's International Discourse Powe

As an important factor reflecting the strength of a country’s soft power,the international discourse power has an increasing status in international competition and games.Having a strong international discourse power means being able to have a certain dominance in the creation of international systems,the formulation of international rules,and the development of international public opinion,as well as being able to better safeguard national interests in international political power contests.Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,although China’s comprehensive national strength has been continuously enhanced,my country does not have the right to speak in the international arena commensurate with its status as a major power.Therefore,since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has attached great importance to the work of external communication,emphasizing that efforts should be made to increase the country’s influence and enhance the international discourse power in an allround way.Aiming at the major issue of how to enhance China’s international discourse power,this paper mainly uses the theory of "soft power" and related theories of communication to analyze and summarize on the basis of sorting out relevant domestic and foreign literature.First of all,it sorts out the evolution process of China’s international discourse power since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,and believes that it has gone through the stage of actively speaking out and seeking recognition from the founding of the People’s Republic of China to the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee,and the tortuous development from the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Central Committee to the Eighteenth National Congress of the Communist Party of China.The stage of gradual improvement,and then to the stage of active action and comprehensive improvement since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China During this process,China has changed from a lack of awareness of the importance of the right to speak and a lack of strategic top-level design to a profound awareness of the importance of the right of international discourse and a series of positive actions for it.Of course,China’s process of enhancing its international discourse power is not smooth sailing,and it faces many challenges.Among them,there are not only challenges from Western discourse hegemony,but also China’s lack of institutional discourse power.And China’s current international communication capabilities are not strong.As the largest developing country and the world’s second largest economy,the world increasingly needs China’s active actions.Only by consolidating the foundation of discourse,actively participating in the construction of international institutions,building a distinctive discourse system,optimizing communication methods,and enhancing international communication power with a firmer attitude and fuller enthusiasm can we substantially enhance China’s international discourse power,safeguard national interests,and make more contributions to the international community.
