By the end of 2018,there were 79 non-state-owned museums registered in Gansu Province,accounting for 14.2% of the total number of museums in Gansu Province,of which 43 were included in the list of national museums.Based on the 2019 National Museum list issued by the State Administration of cultural relics in 2020,taking the non-state-owned museums selected in Gansu Province as the main body,through field investigation,questionnaire interview and telephone interview,this paper analyzes the main body,quantity and distribution,museum type,opening situation and museum audience,so as to have a comprehensive understanding of the development status of non-state-owned museums in Gansu Province.After sorting out and summarizing the survey data,it is found that there are many problems in non-state-owned museums in Gansu Province.On the one hand,there are inherent problems of non-state-owned museums in Gansu Province: shortage of funds,lack of professionals,non-standard management,single publicity mode,low popularity,single and obsolete display and exhibition arrangement,as well as practical problems such as unclear positioning of the museum itself;On the other hand,it is the external development environment of non-state-owned museums in Gansu Province,low public awareness,insufficient support policies or difficult to implement.In view of the problems existing in non-state-owned museums in Gansu Province,give full play to their own advantages and enhance their popularity by holding characteristic exhibitions;Cooperate with state-owned museums to improve their professional level;Precise positioning and outstanding features.On the other hand,drawing on the domestic literature on relevant issues and the policies of national or local governments to encourage and support the development of non-state-owned museums,this paper puts forward the corresponding countermeasures.So as to realize the sustainable development of non-state-owned museums in Gansu Province.
