The planar transmitarray antenna has attracted much attention due to its advantages of high gain,simple feed,flexible radiation performance,and no feed blockage.It has gradually developed into a research direction and hotspot in the field of antennas.The conformal transmitarray antenna is a novel research direction at microwave field in recent years.The conformal transmitarray antenna has all the advantages of the planar transmitarray antenna,and it can adapt to the shape of the various installation platforms and avoid the effect of the carrier device aerodynamics.In addition,conformal transmitarray antenna not occupy the internal design space,those advantages has great significant to the development of antenna technology.In this paper,we deeply studied planar transmitarray antenna on the basis of planar transmitarray antenna,and we proposed a design of the conformal transmitarray antenna for generating orbital angular momentum vortex wave.The main research contents can be divided into three aspects:1.The design and application of the planar transmitarray antenna are studied,and a transmit unit cell with a four-layer frequency selective surface structure is designed.This unit cell can achieve a transmission phase shift range of 331° within the transmission amplitude is below-2.1d B.Base on the design of this transmit unit cell,the planar transmitarray antenna is studied and designed,and the simulated aperture efficiency is achieving 35.6% with a23.98 d Bi.In addition,the planar transmitarray antenna with orbital angular momentum vortex wave generation is studied and designed,and the orbital angular momentum vortex wave with mode number l = 1,2 is successfully realized in simulation.2.Based on the research of planar transmitarray antenna,the design of conformal transmitarray antenna with generating high-gain beam is studied and designed.First,a lowprofile 3-bit quantized transmit unit cell is designed.cover quantized 360° phase shift range with transmission magnitude below-2d B,and the thickness of the transmitarray is only 0.1wavelengths.Secondly,on the basis of this unit cell with the phase compensation principle of the conformal transmitarray antenna,we designed and simulated the conformal transmitarray antenna.The antenna can achieve a simulation gain of 22.83 d Bi at 10 GHz,and the simulation aperture efficiency is 52.9%.Finally,the prototype of the designed conformal transmitarray antenna is fabricated and measured.The measured aperture efficiency is achieving 49.8% with a 22.55 d Bi measured gain at 9.95 GHz,and it has good cross-polarization level.3.Based on the research of planar transmitarray antenna,a conformal transmitarray for orbital angular momentum vortex wave generation is proposed.First,a transmit unit cell with a double-layer structure is designed.Through the variable size method,the unit cell can achieve an excellent transmission phase shift range of over 360° within the transmission amplitude is below-1.6d B.Secondly,on the basis of this unit cell,we designed and simulated the conformal transmitarray antenna,which can generate orbital angular momentum vortex wave with mode numbers l = 1,2,3.Finally,the prototype of the designed conformal transmitarray antenna to generate orbital angular momentum vortex waves with mode numbers l = 1,2 was fabricated.In the measurement,the orbital angular momentum vortices with mode numbers l = 1,2 were successfully generated.
