| In the past ten years,the New Year’s Eve party in Chinese mainland has experienced the migration from television media to the Internet,media technology has continued to develop,commercialization models have become more and more mature,and the cultural content contained has become increasingly diverse.In 2019,the "Most Beautiful Night" New Year’s Eve Party held by Bilibili Video Network was a great success,with a total of 130 million views,becoming the highest-rated New Year’s Eve party on Douban so far,and has been held continuously so far.The number of users of Station B is huge,the cultural circle is diverse and the ecology is complete,so this article selects the most beautiful night series New Year’s Eve party hosted by it as a case study.This article believes that the B Station New Year’s Eve Party has created an inclusive and highly distinctive ceremony activity,which not only realizes the collage of subculture and mainstream culture,but also retains the identity characteristics of the B Station cultural community,and for the first time presents these elements together in the evening mode.Therefore,as a large-scale media landscape,the B Station New Year’s Eve Party is both different from the traditional TV evening and different from the general media event,this paper takes this characteristic as the research goal,regards the B Station New Year’s Eve Party as a large-scale media ceremony,and analyzes it within the framework of Nick Couldry’s media ritual theory.The media ritual construction of Station B has two major elements:ceremonial space and ritual category,the ceremonial space is the place where the evening performance and ceremony are carried out,carrying the production of cultural symbols;the ritual category is the specific formal behavior of the participants in the ceremony.On the basis of describing the above two structures,the article further explores the mediated central position constituted by the evening,which has become an important force in promoting cultural integration and influencing the rules of group identity by mastering media power and controlling symbolic resources.In addition to studying the construction content of the New Year’s Eve party of Station B,the article also analyzes its relationship with other derivative rituals through the field,and reflects on the value and problems generated by the evening in social space. |
