| In recent years, trade facilitation is gradually becoming the development trend and focus of research on international trade, and its multi-faceted inspection results on the trade environment often represent a country’s foreign trade level. When participating in international trade activities, countries around the world will also take how to improve their own trade facilitation to meet the needs of high-efficiency and low-cost international trade as an important consideration. However, the standard to definite trade facilitation has not been decided. It is adjusted continuously with changes in bilateral trade subjects and differences in research content. In the past, the measurement and importance of trade facilitation in different countries and regions were highly subjective. However,in the context of global value chains and global production chains, trade facilitation is gradually being used by most regional friendship and cooperation agreements as the development direction to improve bilateral trade. Therefore, how China can use trade facilitation to further develop the "Belt and Road",so as to promote the development of its own import and export trade, has become a particularly important issue.Nowadays,Africa is an important extension direction of the "Belt and Road" friendship agreement. With the continuous rise of the economic strength of African countries,it is necessary to study the impact mechanism of their trade facilitation on export trade for African countries. In recent years, due to the prevalence of Western trade protectionism, the highly export-oriented Chinese electronic information industry has encountered more discriminatory treatment, which has led to the continuous obstruction of this industry’s expansion of the international market. However, the demand for such products is constantly increasing, which is helpful for the development of the industry. Therefore, how to use the improvement of trade facilitation to create a healthy and stable export trade environment for Chines electronic information industry and help it to expand the depth in the African region is worthy of study.Research on improvements of trade related to the industry’s exports in Africa is also important.Based on this, this paper starts from the research on the background of Chinese electronic information industry and the status quo of China-Africa trade, selects the corresponding trade indicators of the top 32 African countries in Chinese electronic information products export trade volume. The writer also selects the export condition factors with strong influence to Chinese electronic information industry to improve and innovate.and build a trade facilitation evaluation system consisting of 4first-level indicators and 17 second-level indicators.Through principal component analysis, the corresponding trade facilitation level scores of the above 32 African countries from 2014 to 2019 were calculated and evaluated. Then the level of trade facilitation in African countries is used as the core explanatory variable, and China’s electronic information industry exports to African countries are used as the explained variables.GDP level,Distance, tariff level and whether it is a member of the Belt and Road are used as control variables. The extended trade gravity model is used to investigate and verify their influence. The empirical results show that the level of trade facilitation in African countries has a significant positive effect on Chinese electronic information industry export trade. In addition,in order to test the stability of the empirical results, this paper also uses indicators of trade facilitation level to analyze their impact on the export of Chinese electronic information industry. At the same time,an empirical study is carried out according to the development level of the manufacturing industry. Finally, relevant policy suggestions for promoting the export of this industry are given. |
