With the rapid development of communication technology,the demand for antennas with wide bandwidth and high integration is increasing.Substrate waveguide(SIW),as a new type of waveguide structure that utilizes dielectric substrate and metal via array to complete electromagnetic wave propagation,is widely used in the research and design of various RF devices for its low loss,high power capacity,high integration and low cost characteristics.Based on the SIW cavity-backed slot antenna and the H-plane horn and its array antenna,this paper studies and analyzes the expansion of antenna bandwidth and the improvement of antenna gain by using the high-order mode resonance characteristics of SIW cavity,the principle of in-phase superposition of magnetoelectric dipole radiation patterns and the principle of phase correction.The main research contents are as follows:1.Research and design of substrate-integrated waveguide broadband cavity-backed slot antenna.Based on the radiation mechanism of the slot antenna,a new type of radiation slot is designed and adopted to broaden the impedance bandwidth of the substrate-integrated waveguide antenna by analyzing the higher-order modes and the resonant frequency of the substrate-integrated waveguide resonator.The antenna is fed by a coplanar waveguide,and after simulation optimization,a relative bandwidth of 27% is achieved in Ku-band with a peak gain of 6.24 d Bi.2.Research and design of broadband H-plane horn antenna based on substrate integrated waveguide.Based on the radiation mechanism of the H-plane horn antenna,the basic model of the H-plane horn antenna based on the SIW structure is established.On this basis,the matching performance between antenna aperture and air and the defects of uneven current distribution at radiation aperture are improved by loading dielectric,dipole array and phase correction structure.The designed H-plane horn antenna unit works in the Ka band,a gain of 11 d Bi is achieved within a 48.4% impedance bandwidth.Then,based on the horn antenna unit,a 1×4 horn antenna array is designed,and the antenna unit is arrayed through a broadband H-T power divider based on the SIW structure.After simulation optimization,the horn antenna array achieves a relative bandwidth of 35.3% and a peak gain of 16.4d Bi,which is 5.4d Bi higher than that of the antenna unit.
