Pulse Doppler(PD)radar is a full-phase reference pulse regime radar based on the pulse Doppler effect to achieve target velocity measurement,which simultaneously combines the advantages of high distance resolution of pulse regime radar and high velocity resolution of continuous wave regime radar,and has strong clutter suppression capability and the ability to detect targets from the clutter environment.It is worth noting that in recent years,along with the development of radar miniaturization technology,based on a light and small resource strong constraint platform,carrying a radar system with limited volume,mass,etc.,and limited spatial isolation,the resulting pulse Doppler radar emission leakage and carrier leakage problems have come to the fore.Therefore,the accurate identification and elimination of carrier leakage must be accomplished to meet the radar’s fundamental need for faint long-range target detection.In this paper,on the basis of pulsed Doppler radar,different target detection algorithms are comprehensively compared and analyzed,corresponding algorithms are designed and simulated for engineering projects,and the FPGA implementation of PD radar detection algorithm is completed.Meanwhile,carrier leakage,as a special DC bias problem in the large background of clutter,affects the detection performance of targets on satellite-based platforms,especially for slow or stationary targets,the detection performance is significantly degraded.Therefore,this paper conducts an in-depth study on the target detection algorithm in the context of radar carrier leakage,proposes a carrier leakage real-time digital pair elimination method,and analyzes the impact of the method on the target detection probability and false alarm probability.On the other hand,a new target detection method in the context of carrier leakage is proposed,in which a feature detector is constructed and target detection is performed by the Res Net model in deep learning,while data augmentation and Dropout methods are used to solve the overfitting problem,and excellent detection performance is obtained on the test set,which provides a new idea and direction for the PD radar detection algorithm.Finally,the detailed FPGA design of the PD radar detection algorithm and the functional simulation of the key modules are described,and the performance of the FPGA software implementation is verified based on the hardware platform,which proves the implement ability of the algorithm.
