Monologue And Dialogue:Research On Ritual Communication Of "Tree Hole" Weibo

The "tree hole" is an extension of the comments section of the deceased’s weibo for participants to express their feelings.In the past,much attention has been paid to the negative effects of "treehole",a microblog of the deceased.However,the phenomenon of self-disclosure and social interaction in the "tree hole" of the deceased’s micro blog should not be ignored.From the theoretical perspective of communication ritual view,this study adopts the research methods of content analysis,participatory observation and semi-structured interview,and selects the most representative microblogs of@Xiaolwl,@zoufan and@Yao Beina as the research objects.An empirical study was conducted on participants’ ritualized communication behaviors in "Treehole",a microblog of the deceased.The study found that the weibo "treehole" of the deceased,as a place of ritual,has the characteristics of commemorative and situational,participatory and inclusive,and these characteristics promote the weibo "treehole" of the deceased to become the "virtual memorial space" of social media.In this ritual place,participants interact with symbols and construct meaning values under the framework of collective memory.The symbolic interaction between participants in "Shudong",a microblog of the deceased,is characterized by repetition,routine and symbolism,and is a daily ritualized behavior.Both the emotional experience evoked by daily ritualized behavior and the collective consciousness and collective value under the framework of collective memory can become the emotional source of participants’ emotional expression in the process of interaction.In order to meet the needs of emotional expression and social communication,participants will carry out self-propagating "monologue" and interpersonal communication "dialogue" in the "tree Hole" of the weibo of the deceased,and establish intimate relationship in the process of interaction to build an "emotional community".In order to maintain the development of "emotional community",participants express their emotions in accordance with the standards of group norms and perform certain altruistic" behaviors.
