With the breakthrough and commercial application of 5G key technologies, the research of 6G technology has been put on the agenda.6G will realize the integrated network communication of air, space and ground, and high-altitude communication,as the intermediate hub connecting the integrated communication of air, space and ground, will be the future people One of the directions that needs to be broken through. At present, the 3 GPP organization and the ITU organization have begun to study the use of high-altitude platforms as IMT base stations(HIBS for short)to apply to mobile communication services below 2.7 GHz,and have preliminarily specified the architectural characteristics and parameters of the HIBS system, but the high-altitude base station The key technologies used in communication are not clearly pointed out,and there is no clear solution to the high time delay, frequency offset and complex channel problems caused by high-altitude communication. At the same time, considering the need to be compatible with the terrestrial IMT system service, the performance of using OFDM technology for the HIBS system also needs further simulation verification. As an important method to evaluate the performance of communication system,link-level simulation technology will help to promote the standardization of HIBS system. Therefore,it is of great significance to establish a link-level performance evaluation platform for high-altitude base stations. This paper mainly focuses on the design and implementation of linklevel simulation of HIBS system. The thesis firstly summarizes the architecture characteristics and technologies of the system according to the current 3GPP and ITU’s work on the HIBS system. Then, according to the channel model and antenna model of HIBS,the simulation construction is carried out,the HIBS link-level simulation platform is established, and the whole link process is designed and implemented in modules. The design and implementation of the entire platform can be divided into the design and implementation of the transmitting end,the HIBS channel and antenna modeling, and the design and implementation of the receiving end.The transmitter part includes parameter initialization, channel coding,QAM modulation and OFDM modulation. In the channel and antenna modeling part, the modeling of the HIBS channel and antenna is completed, and the communication coverage capability of the antenna is simulated and verified. The receiver part designs time synchronization, frequency synchronization and channel estimation according to the time delay, frequency offset and channel multipath problems of the system, gives solutions and introduces related algorithms. Finally, this paper evaluates and verifies the link performance of the HIBS system based on the linklevel performance evaluation platform built, which proves the effectiveness of the platform scheme. In addition, this paper also uses Qt to encapsulate the visual application interface of the HIBS link-level performance evaluation platform.
