In terms of storage,management,development,and consumption,digital resources have several advantages over traditional literature resources as the information society progresses.The library has a wealth of digital resources that provide its work and development new life as a public cultural institution that preserves and disseminates social knowledge and information.People’s access to information is no longer constrained by time or place thanks to the growth of the Internet.The demand for information is constantly rising,and a university library’s traditional literature offerings can’t keep up.The creation and maintenance of digital resources are crucial at this time.In all areas of self-improvement,including learning,teaching,and research,college students,teachers,and other scientific researchers cannot function without the usage of digital resources.University libraries must deal with a variety of issues related to resource services in the process of promoting the digitization of literature resources,optimizing service platform and user use,such as insufficient content of digital resources,weak user friendliness of retrieval system,etc.,in order to meet the growing needs of users for information and scientific research as well as to strengthen academic exchanges.Digital resource services confront more serious issues than traditional literature resource services do,like a lack of interactive features and subpar user experience.Thus,university libraries should focus more on safeguarding the quality of library digital resources service and enhancing librarians’ and users’ abilities to deliver services while also improving the building of digital resources to fulfill user needs.This paper uses Yangzhou University’s library as an example to conduct an empirical study on its digital resource service evaluation with the goal of fostering the thorough development of university libraries’ digital resource services.In order to serve as a reference for the subsequent paper’s design of the evaluation index system,this paper begins by thoroughly reviewing the state of the research on the evaluation of the digital resource services offered by university libraries both domestically and internationally.Following that,this paper chooses the library of Yangzhou University to carry out a thorough survey,and it analyzes and summarizes the current practice of the digital resource service of Yangzhou University Library from three aspects:the composition of digital resources,the setting of library websites,and the online services offered by the library.The evaluation model is then used to an empirical study of Yangzhou University Library,and the digital resource service of Yangzhou University Library is reviewed through questionnaire survey,along with the findings of field research and service evaluation.Next,the evaluation index system of the university library’s digital resource service is developed through complete application of AHP and BP neural network.Evaluate and list the shortcomings and issues with the company’s digital resource services.Lastly,this study offers some recommendations for raising the quality of digital resource services based on the actual experience of the university library’s digital resource service.To raise the quality of their offering,digital resource services are evaluated.The following recommendations are made in this paper regarding the growth of digital resource services in university libraries:first,it is necessary to improve the content of digital resources in university libraries,ensure the relevance of digital resource procurement,update the content of resources in real-time,create a sharing platform,and encourage the collaborative creation and sharing of resources;The second is to make sure the retrieval system is stable,enhance platform functionality,and offer users individualized services to cater to their unique demands;The third is to expand the methods of publicity and promotion of digital resources and their services,as well as to boost university librarians’ abilities as professionals;The fourth step is to enhance users’ information literacy,information awareness,and involvement in the university library’s digital resource service.
