Research On Weibo Users’ Emotional Expression And Communication In Hot Events

With the rapid development of the Internet,the relationship between the traditional information transmitter and the receiver is no longer fixed.Every citizen can express his or her views on the current hot social events on the social media platform.The anonymous characteristics of the Internet and the uneven quality of netizens make the netizens’ speech emotional and extreme phenomenon.At the same time,microblog has a strong ability to intervene hot events by virtue of its spread speed,breadth,interaction and other advantages.Therefore,Weibo has become a typical gathering place for netizens to express their emotions.Taking the Tangshan beating incident in 2022 as an example,from the perspective of Weibo users’emotional expression and communication in hot events,this study applies computational communication research methods,such as word frequency statistics,emotion analysis,LDA topic modeling,and text analysis,to analyze the text expression characteristics and emotional tendency of netizens’ speeches in specific events.To explore the reasons of emotional expression and put forward more realistic emotional relief strategies for netizens.Finally,based on the analysis results of the research samples,this study puts forward corresponding strategies for the emotional expression and communication of Internet users from the two dimensions of daily life and when events occur.First,in the normal management,the government should study and judge the emotional concerns of netizens in real time,and establish a public opinion monitoring mechanism;The media should enhance its credibility and take social responsibility actively.The platform should form a pattern of guidance by opinion leaders and give play to positive value orientation;Internet users should consciously improve media literacy and create a good discussion space.Second,when hot events trigger the emotions of netizens,the government should timely disclose transparent information to ease the emotions of netizens;Media reports should focus on the event itself and avoid playing up emotions.Internet users should learn to regulate their emotions,make rational voice,and jointly maintain the healthy ecology of the network.
