Pork is one of the main meats consumed by Chinese residents,and it has important protein and other nutritional components for people’s health.However,in the past few years,many pork safety issues have occurred frequently,such as the use of illegal additives and excessive pesticides in food processing,which poses a direct threat to public health and safety.This situation has aroused people’s attention to the quality and safety of pork,and has also prompted experts and scholars to study this issue and explore the application of relevant scientific methods.The pork traceability system,as a monitoring technology for tracking the breeding,slaughter,production,processing,transportation,and sales of pigs,has provided an effective tracking method for tracking the pork supply chain systems of different participating organizations with the development of new sensor technology and Internet of Things technology.The application of IoT technology,sensor technology,and network transmission technology can connect various participating nodes on the entire traceability system chain,achieving food quality and safety monitoring and traceability.In exploring the dynamic development and application process of traceability systems,this article uses the absorptive capacity theory as a theoretical lens to reveal the changes and development of participating organizations.This theory aims to measure an organization’s ability to accept new knowledge and innovation and adapt to its specific environment.In addition,this article also investigates the dynamic relationship between corporate performance and absorptive capacity from multiple dimensions.In the process of building traceability systems,some participating organizations have performed well in absorbing new knowledge and adapting to new environments,while others have lagged behind,which is also reflected in their performance.Of course,absorptive capacity is not the only factor that affects corporate performance,but it is an important measure.This study is an extension of information system research.Through multi-dimensional and long-term observation,analysis,and summary of the application of pork traceability systems,a loose network structure under the connection of traceability systems is proposed.Under this structure,the absorption theory of new knowledge by various organizations in the traceability system,as well as the dynamic interaction relationship between relevant node organizations and the response law of each node to external environmental changes in the loose network are proposed,Provide theoretical basis and practical guidanc e suggestions for further promoting the development and application of traceability systems.
