In recent years,with the rapid development of information technology such as the Internet,the knowledge challenge faced by people lies in how to extract knowledge that is valuable to them from the vast amount of information,and knowledge services,as a new service model that is adapted to social knowledge management and can promote social knowledge innovation,can help people solve this practical problem to a certain extent.At the same time,it is extremely important for universities and their professional knowledge communities,which have professional and academic attributes.After more than thirty years of development and accumulation,university presses have become the backbone of academic and professional publishing in China,collating,assembling and publishing a large number of high-quality academic works of excellence that are invaluable.Entering the digital era,the publishing industry advocates the original wish of returning to academics and transmitting knowledge on the one hand;on the other hand,in the Internet era,the topics of "Internet+publishing",integrated publishing,knowledge services and other restructuring and upgrading have become issues that we need to think about together.This paper takes the perspective of China’s university presses as a foothold,takes their knowledge service strategies as the research object,and conducts research based on theory and practice.The innovation lies in the novelty of the research object,the depth of the research and interview work,and the strong practicality.This paper counts the knowledge service products and their functions of 114 university presses across China,basically updating the data of the knowledge service products of university presses in this professional field;at the same time,it interviews a number of front-line personnel who are engaged in digital publishing in well-known university presses,who have rich practical experience and are of great reference significance to the study.Firstly,based on the literature analysis,the first chapter aims to explore the concept of knowledge services as a necessary path for the transformation and upgrading of university presses,to clearly define the concept of "knowledge services of university presses",and to clarify the research on knowledge services of university presses in the hierarchy of "knowledge services research-knowledge services research in publishing-knowledge services research of university presses".The need for university presses to carry out knowledge services is clarified in the hierarchy of "knowledge services research-knowledge services research in publishing-knowledge services research in university presses".At the same time,the author collates and analyses the current status research,future development trend research and future innovation strategy research on knowledge services of university presses in the literature.Secondly,it is concluded from Chapter 2 that the knowledge service model of university presses in China has taken initial shape and knowledge services are beginning to emerge.This conclusion is reached through the following work: firstly,the knowledge service products of114 university presses across China are collated and categorised,and the types of products and their characteristics are summarised from them.Secondly,the audience groups of knowledge service products were analysed through a questionnaire survey as a way to collect the needs of relevant users.Thirdly,from the perspective of university presses,three experienced and exemplary university presses,namely Nanjing University Press,Shanghai Jiao Tong University Press and Tsinghua University Press,were selected to investigate and summarise the current status of the development of knowledge service products under their banners.Finally,based on the practice of the internship work of Shandong University Press,with the goal of achieving the unification of social and economic benefits,and taking into account the current problems of knowledge services of university presses,the paper proposes strategies to optimize the development of knowledge services of university presses at the levels of development content,user needs,technical optimization,multi-party cooperation,marketing and revenue generation,publishing system and product infringement.
