Since the beginning of e-commerce in China in 1997,it has been more than 20 years of development.Nowadays,the concept of online shopping has deeply rooted in people’s hearts.Today,as consumption diversification and Resource efficiency continue to improve,market competition is increasingly active.Customer orders show the characteristics of multiple varieties,small batches,and multiple batches.Accurate and fast logistics services gradually become the embodiment of the core competitiveness of logistics enterprises.In order to improve customer satisfaction and increase the timeliness of orders,e-commerce enterprises need to sort and seal the goods in the shortest possible time.Therefore,efficient warehousing operations are required.In warehousing operations,picking is an important and tedious task,which is the main factor affecting the timeliness of customer orders.In the picking operation,the distance of the picking path is the main factor that determines the length of the picking time.Therefore,studying the path planning in the order picking process in this article has important value and practical significance.The research in this article takes the office supplies warehouse of M Company as the starting point.Firstly,a sample of 142149 order data from M Company’s office supplies warehouse during the pre school promotion period was collected.Through in-depth quantitative analysis of the number of orders,storage locations,and distribution of goods in batches,it was found that there are problems such as unreasonable warehouse locations,low order picking efficiency,and long picking paths,The reason is that there is no reasonable planning of storage locations based on product sales volume,and the current picking path used does not meet the current situation of the warehouse.The picking logic in the system is not accurately set based on the actual situation of the current warehouse,resulting in the picking PDA indicating that the picking path is too long and the picking efficiency is low.Therefore,it is necessary to develop appropriate picking strategies based on the actual warehouse situation of the warehouse.Secondly,this article analyzes historical orders and,based on the results of existing order batches,establishes a picking route optimization model with the shortest picking time for single batch orders as the objective function.Based on the fitness of genetic algorithm,the optimal picking path for M enterprise’s office supplies warehouse is solved.Finally,the optimization results were compared with the original picking path of M Company’s office supplies warehouse to verify the effectiveness of the optimization plan in this paper.Through the calculation results of multiple picking orders,it was found that the total picking time after optimization can be reduced by about 11.5%.This article proposes three suggestions based on the optimization plan,including analyzing historical orders,optimizing picking paths and shelf functions,and enhancing employees’ professional literacy,to improve the overall efficiency of M Company’s office supplies warehouse order picking operations.This not only improves employees’ work efficiency and piece rate wages,but also provides customers with a better shopping experience.
