Urban physical bookstores are not only a part of the physical production of the city,but also a place where people’s hearts reside.They are also a "spatial medium"for effective communication between people and the city,between people and society,and even between people and themselves.As the most popular new physical bookstore in Suzhou,Eslite Bookstore Suzhou is the most popular new physical bookstore in Suzhou.Its complex spatial form contains multiple layers of meaning.With the change of information technology in the new media era,the upsurge of academic research on urban culture and urban communication continues to rise.As for the multiple groups of relationships in Suzhou Eslite,such as the grammar of things,people and things,people and space,and people and people,as well as the complex ecology of intertwine meaning,this paper uses "triadic dialectics" under Lefebvre’s "spatial production theory" system as the logical thread running through the whole paper,and specifically discusses the three system branches of space:materiality,spirituality and sociality.This paper attempts to explore the construction path of space symbols by rational progressive demonstration combined with embodied perceptual experience,and further explore the meaning production mechanism at the level of material entity,spiritual imagination and even social interaction and public identity.The first layer is the physical description.This paper mainly summarizes the geographical location,place division and space furnishings of Suzhou Eslite.Starting from its objectively visible material characteristics,it can better interpret its spiritual and social values based on the analysis of place division and layout.The second level is upgraded to the mental space represented by images.From the perspective of "turning inward",bookstore operators,as the space narrators behind the scenes,create poetic,readable and imaginative multiple Spaces through the elaborate conception and construction of landscape symbols,text symbols,brand symbols and scene symbols.Under the overlapping and virtual extension of scenes across time and space,they present the color of "heterotopia" in which a variety of heterogeneous relationships exist synchronously.The third layer jumps to the social space where communication occurs.The author makes field observations from a social perspective.Firstly,he pays attention to the subjective behavior of people in space,including people’s pursuit of modern spiritual liberation projected into space,and continuously generates subjective perception and identity through personal aesthetic experience.Secondly,he further spreads and diffuses space practice through two ways of "presence" and"absence".Actively participate in space production by means of "punching in","taking photos"and "commenting",and construct identity under the ritualized transmission of space;It rises to the identity existing in the space communication and the mass resistance under the space division,and realizes the evolution and transmutation of multi-dimensional space level such as material,culture and society.
