The official launch of the RCEP Free Trade Zone, which has the world’s largest population and the most potential for international trade development, plays an important role in promoting China’s economic development. The electronic information industry has become the focus of strategic competition within the RCEP region, while also facing issues such as technological bottlenecks and external resistance. The emergence of new formats, models, and consumption patterns in the post pandemic era has brought enormous opportunities to China’s electronic information enterprises. How to better leverage the advantages of the RCEP agreement for China’s electronic information enterprises is worth in-depth research.Based on a systematic review and analysis of relevant theories and a review of previous scholars’ literature, this article summarizes six factors that may have an impact on the internationalization development of Chinese electronic information enterprises: enterprise internationalization experience, institutional distance,RCEP country market demand, host country research and innovation capabilities, target country internet scale, and geographical distance.Using relevant data from Chinese electronic information enterprises from 2006 to 2021,six variables were selected as proxy variables: percentage of enterprise internationalization experience, institutional distance, per capita GDP of RCEP countries, number of host country patents, internet percentage, and geographical distance of the capital.Multiple linear regression analysis was used to investigate the internationalization development level of Chinese electronic information enterprises in RCEP countries. The following conclusion is drawn: the internationalization experience of enterprises, the market demand of RCEP countries, and the research and innovation capabilities of the host country have a significant positive impact on the internationalization development level of Chinese electronic information enterprises in RCEP developed countries; The institutional distance and geographical distance have a significant negative impact on the internationalization development level of Chinese electronic information enterprises in RCEP developed countries; The research and innovation capabilities of the host country and the scale of the target country’s internet have a significant positive impact on the internationalization development level of RCEP developed countries, while institutional distance has a significant negative impact on the internationalization development level of Chinese electronic information enterprises in RCEP developed countries.Analyze the case of Huawei’s internationalization development in RCEP countries, analyze the opportunities and challenges faced by Huawei in the RCEP region, and then analyze six influencing factors: Huawei’s internationalization experience, institutional distance, market demand, host country’s scientific research and innovation capabilities, internet scale, and geographical distance in the process of internationalization development in RCEP countries,And summarize the internationalization implications of large-scale and small-scale electronic information enterprises in different RCEP countries.Different suggestions were put forward at the national and corporate levels, with the aim of improving the internationalization development level of Chinese electronic information enterprises in RCEP countries and addressing more international challenges.
