Research On Knowledge Diffusion In The Field Of Financial Technology From The Perspective Of Citatio

Knowledge diffusion specifically refers to the process by which knowledge is transferred from one subject to another within a certain time and space.This process can be direct or indirect,active or passive.The study of knowledge diffusion has substantially improved the level of research and the efficiency of literature output.With the continuous development of the Internet,Fin Tech has emerged as a modern form of financial service and is playing an increasingly important role in the financial sector.Financial technology(Fin Tech)specifically refers to the use of technological tools and methods in the financial sector to improve the efficiency and quality of financial services.The study of issues related to the diffusion of knowledge in the field of Fin Tech can provide a more accurate analysis of the nature and laws of knowledge diffusion in this field in China.This thesis uses the literature of journals related to the field of financial technology from 1999 to 2021 included in the China Citation Database as a data source,combines citation analysis theory and social network analysis theory,and discusses the distribution of literature in this field,respectively from three perspectives of the number of publications and frequency of citations,and the source journals,source disciplines and source authors;and then defines each knowledge diffusion Finally,based on the citation frequency of the first author of the top 1000 cited articles in the field,we will use Ucinet to construct an author citation network and explore the three characteristic indicators of social network centrality to discover the development trend and research hotspots in the field.The results of the study show that:(1)the citation volume and frequency of literature related to financial technology generally show an increasing trend;the frequency of highly cited literature and the frequency of lowly cited literature are in line with the "law of two or eight";the quality of papers published in the journals established after 2016 is generally high,providing theoretical guidance for later readers;and in terms of disciplines,they show a strong interdisciplinary trend.The journals launched after 2016 are generally of high quality and provide theoretical guidance to subsequent readers;they also show a strong interdisciplinary dimension in terms of disciplines,but the distribution of literature across disciplines is uneven;according to the Price formula,this reflects the small number of core members in the field,and also indicates a low quantity of high-quality literature.(2)All three measures of the field show an upward trend,especially after 2016 when the rate of proliferation has increased substantially and cross-journal communication has gradually strengthened.(3)The overall concentration trend of cross-cited authors in the field as described by the social network characteristics indicator is low,and the links between various nodes of the entire citation network are not strong,indicating that most of the information in the field is held by a very small number of people;through the key nodes shown,it is found that the research hotspots in the field are mainly related to banking,regulation and law.Knowledge diffusion from a citation perspective is of some theoretical and practical significance to quantitatively and qualitatively analyse the diffusion status of knowledge within the field of financial technology in China,which can help us better understand the accumulation and transmission of knowledge in the field of financial technology and thus provide a preliminary scientific basis for knowledge management and innovation in the field of financial technology.
