With the continuous advancement of integrated circuit technology and manufacturing processes,image sensors have significantly reduced in size and power consumption while greatly improving their performance and imaging quality.Nowadays,image sensors are widely used in various fields such as image photography,security surveillance cameras,smartphones,space science,and medical applications.With the continuous progress of communication technology and artificial intelligence,image sensors are also widely applied in emerging fields such as intelligent robots and autonomous driving.As image sensors become key optical devices,the requirements for their performance are becoming increasingly stringent.Therefore,it is increasingly important to measure the performance parameters of image sensors.This study focuses on the research and development of an image sensor parameter measurement system based on the GMAX4651 model,and specifically targets performance parameters such as conversion gain,dark current,signal-to-noise ratio,and non-uniformity.Firstly,the development history of image sensors is summarized,and their applications in various fields and future prospects are introduced.The practical significance of studying image sensor parameter measurement systems is further explained.Then,the current situation and existing problems of image sensor parameter measurement technology are analyzed and summarized,and the theoretical analysis of the EMVA 1288 measurement standard for measuring image sensor parameters is presented,including a summary of the parameters defined and the testing methods proposed in the standard.Subsequently,the main structure of the image sensor parameter testing system is studied,and the upper computer control software is developed to convert the parameter measurement method into an algorithm and integrate it into the control software.The system can automatically measure the parameters of the image sensor,and users only need to select the parameters to be measured according to their needs.The designed image acquisition system is connected to the control software through network communication,and controls the image sensor to perform data acquisition according to the upper computer’s commands,and transmits the data to the upper computer software through a network cable.Finally,this article utilized the designed image sensor parameter testing system to measure the parameters of the image sensor,and conducted analysis based on the experimental results,which validated the performance and stability of the designed image sensor parameter testing system.
