With the rapid development of the world economy in recent years,competition among enterprises,especially insurance companies that require a large amount of information and data to achieve long-term development,is also in a more intense state of competition.At first,enterprises mainly relied on products to enhance their core competitiveness,but now they need to rely more on the power of information technology.Only the more complete the enterprise’s information system,can it achieve long-term stable development.The data warehouse integrates data from multiple data sources,providing a unified data view,providing data support for enterprise level decision analysis and business reports,helping insurance companies enhance competitiveness and achieve high-quality development.However,the construction process of data warehouse systems is implemented in different periods,so it is necessary for enterprises to attach importance to project management in the process of improving their competitiveness,and it is particularly necessary to make project schedule management an important content.So far,X Insurance Company has been developing in its industry for over 20 years,so it has a high position in the industry.By analyzing the current status of project schedule management,it can be found that there are many unresolved issues that can directly reflect the problems in this industry.Therefore,after reviewing the project cycle and organizational structure,it was found that there are several difficulties in project execution:firstly,X Company has complex and massive data,which is prone to implementation delays;2、The logical and physical architecture of the data integration system project is complex,and the implementation cost of the project can easily exceed the budget.To avoid the above issues,it is necessary to accurately estimate the construction period and planned costs.In order to solve the project difficulties and ensure the smooth progress of the project,this article first determines the current situation of X Insurance Company and conducts a project progress and milestone plan,and uses a Gantt chart to display the estimated results of the construction period.Secondly,develop resource and cost plans.To ensure that the implementation process is completed according to the planned schedule,the earned value analysis method is used to establish a progress control system,and deviation analysis is conducted.When deviations between the actual progress and the planned progress are identified,timely correction and correction are made.Finally,propose relevant technical,organizational,and economic incentives to ensure that the project can be completed within the expected period.This article takes X Insurance Company as the research object,mainly to understand the progress management status it reflects in the process of managing data integration system projects.Gantt chart method,critical chain method,and earned value analysis method are used to ensure the reasonable and smooth completion of the project schedule.Based on the summary of this research conclusion,X Company can also draw on its experience when carrying out different types of projects,Therefore,it is beneficial to enhance the company’s project schedule management ability and promote further development of the company’s software projects.
