This study addresses the significant development and applications of Brain-Computer Interface(BCI)and its related technologies, particularly in rehabilitation and high-risk industries.BCI technology is frequently combined with other technologies to enhance human-machine interaction.A popular direction is the integration of Augmented Reality(AR)and Home Automation, which enables paralyzed or disabled patients to interact with the external world through neural signals and obtain a certain degree of self-care ability. However, current AR-BCI and BCI-Home Automation systems have significant drawbacks. Most systems are unable to deeply understand stimulus patterns and environmental information, lack user-friendly interfaces, and are not easily deployable and configurable. To address these issues, this paper focuses on developing a practical BCI system based on AR for Home Automation control.Firstly,at the stimulus framework level, this study designed a high-performance,easy-to-develop,and easy-to-maintain BCI stimulus framework to overcome the inability of current BCI stimulus frameworks to support AR applications. This framework utilizes the ECS pattern to abstract stimulus object properties and employs game engine lifecycle management, simplifying the stimulus program writing process while enhancing performance.Secondly,on the human-machine interaction level, building on the stimulus framework mentioned above, this study combined AprilTag target recognition technology with scene information and SSVEP stimulus to address boundary problems in AR stimulus, creating an asynchronous algorithm that forms a simple and easy-to-use AR-SSVEP stimulus paradigm. Finally,in terms of system development and deployment, this study utilized Kafka message middleware technology and Docker container technology,as well as the Home Assistant smart home middleware,to decouple the various functions and modules of the application and optimize the interaction and communication between them. This ultimately gave the application system flexible expansion and robust distributed deployment capabilities. In conclusion, this paper presents an integrated system that combines AR with high efficiency,user-friendly interfaces, and strong user targeting capabilities to form a practical BCI system for Home Automation control.
