The human brain has a powerful ability of analysis, learning and innovation, and vision is the main way for human to obtain information. How the brain processes vision in the absence of visual awareness is currently the main research subject in the visual science community.Continuous flash suppression(CFS)paradigm is vision research under the awareness of the more popular way,the specific mechanism is to give participants the present different visual stimulation, two eyes to one eye presents high frequency continuous flashing masking stimulation inhibit other eye under the consciousness of the recognition of target stimulation. The research on mask and target properties in CFS paradigm is the main research direction in the field of visual consciousness.Based on the attribute consistency of CFS paradigm, this paper studies the influence of vision under consciousness, that is,whether the same or similar attribute of mask and target will have an impact on the inhibition effect of CFS paradigm. In the aspect of theoretical research, the basic concept, attributes, working principle and influencing factors of CFS are systematically introduced. In practice, two behavioral experiments were conducted to explore the effects of spatial orientation, color attribute, and noise attribute on the masking effect of CFS paradigm. The specific experiments are as follows :(1)The effects of the relative angles and color attributes of mask and target on the masking effect are initially studied. Two angles are selected for mask, two angles are selected for target, black and white and color Mondrian images for mask, and two color images for target;(2)The effects of the relative angles and color attributes of mask and target on the masking effect were deeply studied.4 angles of mask and 11 angles of target were selected, and the colors were divided into two categories, respectively.Noise attributes were added as variables, and the noises were pink and brown noises. The experiment showed that in the color attribute of Experiment 1 and the orientation attribute of Experiment 2 under PINK noise condition, the masking effect of CFS would be improved if the mask attribute and target attribute were consistent. Moreover,we found that the difference of mask noise attribute would have a strong impact on the masking effect. This study provides us with a clearer understanding of attribute consistency in CFS paradigm, provides useful parameters for the study of visual cognition under consciousness, and provides basic data for the further research of cognitive neuroscience and the development of artificial intelligence.
