Research On The Operational Path Of Group Norm In Online Community

The development of the Internet has broken the limitations of reality and has brought unprecedented changes to the way individuals interact.The communication between individuals has gradually evolved from the original real contact to the interaction in virtual space,showing the characteristics of online and offline integration.This study takes the operating path of group norm as the research object,and adopts two research methods,online ethnography and in-depth interview,to explore the operating path of group norm by exploring the establishment and function of group norm.This study firstly introduces the general situation of online community,and then introduces the general situation of Douban group from four aspects: user group,interactive content,interactive form,and group entry process.On this basis,the formation process of the group norm of Douban group is analyzed,including the main body of the group norm,the factors affecting the establishment and the content of the group norm.The two factors that affect the establishment of group norms,namely group survival and development,and members’ guidance and acquisition,are discussed in depth,and the content of norms,namely group naming,group entry requirements,and group rules are summarized in detail.Second,the researcher analyzes the functions undertaken by each part of the group norm.The naming creates the atmosphere of the group and sets the main line of interaction.Entry requirements delineated the boundaries inside and outside the group,creating an open and secret space.The support and prohibition settings in the group correspond to rewards and punishments,respectively,and define the direction of discussion within the group.Finally,it reveals the three stages of the group norm’s operation path within the group,namely rule notification,rule penetration and rule deepening.During the operation of the three stages,the behavior of members is affected by the dynamic factors of friendship,identity perception,and collective coexistence,and affects the individual through emotional accumulation,rule discipline,and multiple games.Under this effect,it presents a triple progressive performance of surface participation,self-discipline and norm-formation.In addition,the effects of these three manifestations at the organizational level are also different.In the notification stage,the influence generated by the hot posts as the center of the group formed a group of onlookers within the group.During the infiltration stage,the behavioral styles of members gradually move closer to the group rules,and at the same time,they will also shape the style of the group and create mutual influence.In the deepening stage,a balance of power tension between the management and the two sides is formed within the group,which enables the group to maintain the style and enhance the internal stickiness,while the relationship between the members and the organization depends on each other and coexists and coexists.Combined with the operation path and effect of group norms,the researchers further put forward a guarantee mechanism to ensure the smooth operation of group norms.Combine the reality and the network situation,think overall,innovate the governance thinking of the network community,continuously improve the system,emphasize the main responsibilities of all parties,create a multi-governance pattern,further improve legislation,and strengthen the role of law in safeguarding,in order to improve the network community.governance effect.
