| In the era of Internet,the rapid development of information media technology has penetrated into everyone’ s social live.Mobile devices such as mobile phones have become one of the indispensable "organs" for everyone,and "new media" has gradually become more and more peopular,and empowered social development and personal life.At the same time,it cannot be ignored that there are still vulnerable groups who live in the relatively marginalized areas of social life,and their survival and development status have not been widely concerned by the mainstream society.For a nation,the life quality of the vulnerable groups in society is one of the important criteria to measure the degree of social development.The disabled are one of the typical social disadvantaged groups.They are often prejudiced and discriminated against from other groups,and it is difficult for them to obtain equal living resources and development opportunities.Hearing-impaired youths have become a group that receives less attention among the huge number of disabled people because of the concealment of their physical defects.However,there are still problems with their social life status and the degree of social inclusion.This paper takes hearing-impaired youth as the research object,from the perspective of technological empowerment to understand the current situation of their social life and the problems they face in social inclusion,and to analyze the extent to which new media technology empowers the social inclusion of hearing-impaired youth.This paper adopts the research method combining in-depth interviews and participatory observation to explore the social status of hearing-impaired youth and the basic situation of new media use,and in-depth analysis of the aspects and ways in which new media technology empowers hearing-impaired youth social life.At present,hearing-impaired youth are still facing difficulties in economic employment,social interaction,psychological barriers and other aspects in the process of getting into the collective life of society.In addition,hearing-impaired youth,like other social groups,generally rely on the use of new media as a tool to facilitate personal life and a bridge to enhance the social connection.When it comes to the specific issues of new media technology for the social inclusion of hearing-impaired youth,it can be summarized from four dimensions: economic and employment development,cultural perception and communication,social interaction and participation,psychological adaptation and personal identity.In terms of economic and employment development,the wide range of employment information provided by new media platforms has broken the job-hunting dilemma of hearing-impaired youth,allowing them to turn their vision into a wider career field,and they can use the new media platform itself as an effective way to get the income.In terms of information acquisition and cultural perception,hearing-impaired youth can obtain the information and latest news they want to know anytime and anywhere through various types of Applications,and can obtain more diverse knowledge,which has become an important platform for their self-improvement to a certain extent,and also let hearing-impaired youth understand the distance between the Internet and popular culture get smaller.In addition,the social interaction problems of hearing-impaired youth also represent their level of social inclusion to a certain extent.In the new media space,hearing-impaired youth show higher media trust.They are more willing to present themselves,and are more willing to interact with others.When it comes to participating in social affairs,the hearing-impaired youth as social citizens are currently playing a "free" role,focusing on passive understanding,and the willingness to actively and truly participate is not high enough.Finally,in terms of psychological adaptation,new media technology can help hearing-impaired youth weaken their perception of discrimination and difference,and also allow hearing-impaired youth to correctly understand their hearing-impaired problems and identity,and strive to arrive the goal of destigmatization.However,it cannot be ignored that it still take some time for hearing-impaired youth to truly get into society.In the future,it is necessary to join forces with the state,the government,social enterprises,and social welfare organizations to create a space for the hearing-impaired youth to express and act,awaken the sense of social citizenship of the hearing-impaired youth,and help them get into social life better.In addition,the improvement of media literacy and the awakening of personal awareness of hearing-impaired youth are also crucial,and these factors together determine the degree and effectiveness of their inclusion into society. |
