| The development of science and technology in the era of digital economy is profoundly reshaping society.The digital economy has penetrated into every aspect of our lives.The integration of "Digital and Industry" has become a new trend,giving new impetus to traditional industries and fostering new forms of business.Software industry is the basic industry of national development.In the background of digital economy era,the development speed is further accelerated,showing a strong momentum of development.The combination of digital economy and software industry analysis can provide effective suggestions for the development of software industry and the improvement of export competitiveness of software industry in the era of digital economy.Based on the analysis of the development status of China’s digital economy and China’s software industry,this paper makes an empirical study on the export competitiveness of China’s software industry by using the digital economy development data of 30 provinces and cities in China from 2012 to 2020.Combined with the availability of relevant data,this paper constructs an evaluation system to measure the development level of China’s digital economy by selecting four dimensions,namely,digital economy development carrier,digital industrialization,industrial digitalization and digital economy development environment,and also selects a more suitable and general evaluation index RCA to evaluate export trade competitiveness through comprehensive consideration.The results show that digital economy development has a positive effect on the export competitiveness of Chinese software industry.After controlling the variables of foreign direct investment,openness,industry scale and R&D investment,empirical results are still stable.The paper introduced the instrumental variable of historical data of posts and telecommunications to solve the endogenous problem,so as to solve the two-way causality problem.Moreover,the method of substitution variables was adopted to replace digital economy with digital finance and RCA with MS of international market share respectively,and the results remained stable.In terms of regions,the regression results of east,central,west and northeast regions are consistent with the overall regression results.The development of digital economy in each region has a positive role in promoting the improvement of software export competitiveness in the region.Due to the inconsistency between the development basis and development environment of each region,individual variables are different,which is within the reasonable range.Finally,according to the empirical research results,the paper summarizes the whole paper,and according to the experimental conclusions,it puts forward the relevant policy suggestions from five aspects: continue to promote the good trend of the development of digital economy,enhance the industrial agglomeration effect,enhance the overall competitiveness of the industry,strengthen the interaction and cooperation between regions,and promote the integration of regional coordinated development. |
