Assessment Of Elderly Behavior Ability Based On Home Awareness Network

With the growing problem of aging,it is an important goal of smart elderly care to improve the scientific and information level of elderly services through scientific and technological means,and to increase the support of health technology for the elderly.In order to cope with the growing demand for health care services for the elderly,we must find a new method to assess the elderly’s behavioral ability.The traditional ability evaluation of the elderly will consume too much human resources,and the evaluation effect is easily affected by subjective factors.Based on the home awareness network developed by Anhui Intelligent Perception and Elderly Care Engineering Technology Research Center,this thesis first proposes a feature extraction method based on sensor distance weighting to recognize the elderly’s home activities;On the basis of identifying the activities of the elderly,obtain the elements of activity time,and evaluate the behavior ability of the elderly with the ability evaluation form of the elderly.Compared with using the evaluation scale and the wearable sensor to collect the activity data of the elderly,using the activity data collection method based on the home awareness network can obtain data continuously for a long time without disturbing the normal home life of the elderly.This thesis takes the elderly who live at home and basically take care of themselves as the research object,and carries out the research on intelligent technology to evaluate the automation ability,so as to facilitate the elderly care service institutions to obtain the behavior ability of the elderly in a timely manner.This thesis can be divided into the following aspects:⑴ A distance weighted feature extraction method is proposed.In order to improve the accuracy of the activity recognition method using embedded sensors,this topic further analyzes the features extracted from the data that are often used,uses the sensor distance weighting method to obtain new features,and then uses a variety of machine learning methods to achieve activity recognition.Experiments show that the new feature extraction method has a certain improvement in the recognition accuracy.⑵ A sensor based assessment method for the elderly’s behavioral ability is proposed.By collecting data through the family perception network and the elderly life record table,this topic uses a variety of methods to evaluate the elderly’s behavior ability,and uses machine learning methods to achieve the grading and judgment of the elderly’s daily behavior ability,which can be used as a reference before the elderly diagnosis.⑶ A prototype system for the assessment of the elderly’s behavioral ability was developed.Using the ability evaluation method proposed in this topic,this topic has developed a prototype system for the elderly to use,so that the elderly can clearly understand their physical ability changes.Figure 27 Table 23 Reference 64...
