Research On The Development Strategy Of Local Literature Periodicals

Since the founding of New China,as the only large-scale comprehensive literature and art periodical in Guangxi,GUANGXI LITERATURE has witnessed the rapid development of literature in China’s frontier regions and the changes of periodical publishing.It has also recorded the interactive growth of four generations of frontier writers,editors,publishing houses and readers.In recent years,the study of local literature journals has gradually become a new hotspot in the field of academic research,especially the study of local literature history.In the publishing field,studies on representative journals in border areas have gradually emerged,covering the period of the late Qing Dynasty,the Republic of China and the founding of New China.In terms of the study of local literature in Guangxi,GUANGXI LITERATURE should be the leader among the literary periodicals in Guangxi.With its advantages of long publication time,complete journal,large number of authors,excellent quality of works,wide range of readers and high editing skills,GUANGXI LITERATURE rose to prominence in the border regions and once led the trend of signing the contract of writers in the field of literary periodicals,which is enough to see its research value.Although there is an upsurge of research on specific works,authors and writing techniques,there is still a gap in the research from the perspective of publishing.In this regard,this paper takes GUANGXI LITERATURE as the research object.Based on the historical materials,it carefully combs the unique publishing ecology presented by this publication since the founding of New China.Through its text content and historical value,it presents an overview of the publishing industry of contemporary local literary periodicals in China.Specifically,from the causes of the publishing phenomenon in each historical stage,the general situation of the transformation and development of the journal,the overview of the journal,including the background of running the journal,the features of column setting,the content characteristics and the influence of communication,as well as the features of editing and running the journal,the current publishing predicament of GUANGXI LITERATURE is seen,so as to put forward targeted measures and suggestions.This paper is divided into five parts.Mainly from the following aspects to discuss:The introduction part mainly reviews the research status of GUANGXI LITERATURE,fully understands the academic circles’ concerns,achievements and existing gaps,and then elaborates the innovation points,research ideas and significance of this research.The first chapter mainly traces the historical background of GUANGXI LITERATURE,and presents the background and original appearance of the magazine’s founding,forming,transformation and development since the founding of New China through sorting out the published historical materials.The second chapter is based on the historical background of the first chapter and the overall development of GUANGXI LITERATURE since the new century.From the idea of running the magazine based on the ethnic characteristics of Guangxi to the column showing the brand of regional symbols,from the exploration and cultivation of local writers and accumulation of local culture,to the innovation of regional literature appearance in response to the call of The Times,in-depth analysis of the characteristics of running the magazine.The third chapter,based on the second chapter,analyzes the characteristics of GUANGXI LITERATURE and probes into its current publishing predicament.The paper analyzes the reality from four aspects: the market,the magazine’s comprehensive service consciousness is still lacking,the reader group is relatively limited;In terms of authors,the magazine is in short supply of a team of new writers who are always loyal to the magazine;In terms of platform,the pace of digital transformation of the journal is slow,and the development ability of digital platform is insufficient.In terms of resources,GUANGXI LITERATURE Magazine currently lacks excellent translators and long-term overseas partners.The fourth chapter,based on the practical problems explored in the third chapter,four development strategies and suggestions are put forward for the journal based on the new media era: first,strengthen the awareness of market service and continuously innovate regional literature brand;The second is to improve the comprehensive welfare system,focusing on the construction of advanced writers;Third,to actively promote cross-border cooperation and build an all-round literary editing team;The fourth is to change the management idea of periodical and explore the industrialization road of characteristic literary periodical.In order to provide a new development idea for GUANGXI LITERATRUE and provide reference for other local comprehensive literature periodicals.The conclusion summarizes the significance of the publication and development of GUANGXI LITERATURE.
