Augmented reality is a human-computer interaction technology that combines virtual information with the real world to enhance multi-dimensional sensory experience.The more intuitive representation of augmented reality can promote the understanding of real things.With the constant updating and improvement of augmented reality technology,augmented reality is gradually penetrating into the news,publishing,medical care,education,entertainment and other fields,and has a broad prospect for development.Books are one of the important enlightenment tools for children to understand the world.The combination of augmented reality technology and books breaks the traditional reading mode and opens up the "children’s reading revolution" in a new way.In 2012,when AR technology was combined with children’s books for the first time,AR children’s books have been quickly recognized and welcomed by consumers for their reading experience combined with reality,3D dynamic presentation and immersive multi-dimensional perception.At present,AR books for children in our country are developing rapidly.However,behind the continuous expansion of the publication scale of AR books,there are still some practical problems to be solved.Prominent problems are the insufficient attention to the cognitive and psychological characteristics of children.To some extent,it can only serve as a simple electronic toy for children.How to reasonably apply augmented reality technology to children’s AR books is a topic worth further discussion.In view of the problems in the development process of AR children’s books,this paper will introduce the theory of cognitive development to discuss the interactive animation design of AR children’s books.The emergence of children’s AR books is not only a simple combination of AR technology and children’s books,but a reflection of people’s changing social needs and constant exploration of new ways of reading,creating new ways of reading in a new environment.From the perspective of cognitive development theory,the cognitive level of children in each age group is different.To summarize the cognitive characteristics of children in each age group and conduct targeted content design and interactive design on the basis of clarifying the cognitive level and reception characteristics of children in each age group,it can quickly and effectively improve children’s reading ability and spatial imagination.This paper comprehensively adopts the literature research method,case analysis method and interdisciplinary research method,summarizes the design principles of interactive animation for AR children’s books from the aspects of children’s age differences,thinking habits and behavior characteristics,and discusses the content construction of interactive animation for AR children’s books from the four aspects of theme,color,role and plot.From the aspects of sensory interaction,body interaction,language interaction and so on,the interaction design which is more in line with children’s cognition is analyzed.How to use AR technology to promote children’s cognitive development and expand their learning skills,rather than simply adding a technological toy,requires a deep understanding of children’s cognitive mechanism,in order to design AR books more suitable for children.
