Picture Painting And Historical Words:A Study On The Graphic Communication Of Northeast Pictorial

Northeast Pictorial is an important news publication founded by the Communist Party of China in Northeast China.In the practice of publishing 144 issues in the past ten years,Northeast Pictorial has published a large number of news pictures and gathered a large amount of text content,which has not only formed the main characteristics of pictorial communication,but also provided valuable experience for the future development of the Party’s press and publishing cause,especially the pictorial publishing cause.Based on this,the study of Northeast Pictorial on the one hand is an exploration of the characteristics of the visual communication of the news publications of the Communist Party of China,and on the other hand is the due meaning of the study of the characteristics of the news discourse of the Communist Party of China and the practical experience of local news communication.As a local news and propaganda publication of the Communist Party of China started during the Liberation War,Northeast Pictorial illustrated fully considers the realistic situation and the information receiving habits of the audience in terms of text publication,image presentation and layout design.The content production of Northeast Pictorial illustrated resonates with the development and changes of the society,which is not only an important reference text for the study of the characteristics of media in various historical periods.It is also a valuable information to sum up the rules of press,publication and communication of the Communist Party of China.Due to the need for in-depth analysis of a large number of news texts,the selection of case analysis and text analysis as the main research methods is quite effective for the case study of the history of news communication such as Northeast Pictorial.Through the analysis of the selected typical cases of Northeast Pictorial combined with the corresponding visual communication theory,it is found that the Northeast Pictorial pays attention to the influence of visual impact on information reception when planning and editing the images,and the communicators keep consolidating the pattern of public opinion publicity and weaving the communication network of image narrative.In addition,based on the analysis of news discourse theory,it is found that the text communication and image narrative complement each other,and the media information transmission mode in the interactive pattern of text and text is gradually institutionalized and standardized,which is the cultivation and strengthening of the public’s information receiving habit and ability in the context of news propaganda,and also the creation and enrichment of the news propaganda discourse system of the Communist Party of China.Specifically,in the research process,this research mainly uses visual communication and news discourse analysis and other related theories to carry out historical and specific analysis of Northeast Pictorial and its typical cases and text structure,which are divided into five parts for discussion.The first part is the investigation of the overall situation of Northeast Pictorial,including a brief review of the founding and development process,further clarifying the historical context of Northeast Pictorial development;Based on the research on the main editors and creators of Northeast Pictorial,the photographers and artists with greater contributions and wider influence are presented in the form of biographies and research materials respectively.On this basis,the conclusion is drawn that Northeast Pictorial has the characteristics of high starting point and unique dissemination status.The second part mainly summarizes and analyzes the visual content and presentation mode of Northeast Pictorial,which includes not only news photography works,but also artistic forms such as cartoons,comic strips and woodcuts published in the Northeast Pictorial.Through theoretical analysis of typical cases,it summarizes the rules and characteristics of the visual communication of Northeast Pictorial,and then draws the conclusion that the visual structure of Northeast Pictorial affects its communication content propaganda and public opinion guidance.The third part is to make use of Van Diecker’s theory of news discourse analysis to analyze the related news texts of Northeast Pictorial illustrated news.When spreading information,Northeast Pictorial illustrated framed and structured the text information as a unique communication pattern of pictorial media.In addition,this part verifies the correlation factors in the communication characteristics of Northeast Pictorial.The fourth part summarizes the periodic characteristics of the important historical events reported by the Northeast Pictorial,and draws the conclusion that the Northeast Pictorial presents the social reality while highlighting the law of simultaneous transmission of text and text.The last part is the analysis and thinking of the historical status and academic research value of Northeast Pictorial.On the basis of summarizing the experience of running local news pictorial publications of the Communist Party of China,the academic and historical positioning of Northeast Pictorial in the communication system of the Communist Party of China.
